Official Packers at Rams Game Day Thread

Like the old song goes, "what a difference a day makes". Last Sunday took all of us "Packer Fan" from the despair and angst of possibly no postseason games to stomping on what was considered by many to be the best team in the NFL. The thrill of last game carried many including myself on a high all week. The money won, the media getting "ssssshhhhhhhed", and the NFL put on notice that the Pack is no where near finished.

Well it's time to sober up MFers and not forget that today's opponent is really only a chump by name who in reality boast a damn good pass defense when at home. But it wont matter as their dome again provides the speed Rodgers and Co will again use to light up the scoreboard and finally get above .500 for the first time this season. Even though many fans are thinking this is a sure thing I gotta believe M3 and his players do not feel that way after the colts disaster. That's why there is no way in hell they let this one slip away and the good guys come out on top again.

You have to give a ton of credit to McCarthy on his "special team trickery" calls. Not only does he do a very good job at picking the time to do it, but the team also is excellent at execution and comes through the vast majority of the time. To me, the "surprise" element is a huge factor in football that never gets enough credit...and McCarthy is possibly the league's best coach in that regard.

Rams are as good or better than the Seahawks. The NFC West is no joke. Like the Seahawks game, though, I see the Packers adjusting a bit and "winning" the second half 14-6.

The other thing is that the DL is quickly turning into a MASH unit. They're a blow or two from having to play Greg VanRoten on the line...

My memory is more solid on him struggling with bull rushers. He isn't lanky so I could see him having trouble with outside speed. But for perspective, he has looked better than Newhouse versus speed today.

Happy with the win but inability to stop the run and block for the run still bother me for any consistent success. Green was never more than a yard past the LOS before being swarmed and a team with more than an aging Steven Jackson could kill us if Aaron is anything less than his spectacular self.
