Cowboys take CeeDee Lamb.

CEEDEE LAMB
WR, Oklahoma

CONF Big 12 JERSEY #2 CLASS Junior HT 6'2" DOB -- WT 189 lbs

Route Tree - Have seen him break off slants and digs with suddenness but shows savvy stacking vertically to boot. Love his feet at the LOS, he'll produce false steps or jumpy corners when faced with press at the LOS. There's plenty of nuance to his initial stems and if you try to play him off, he's going to tear you up with underneath breaks.

Hands - Unbelievable catches off tipped balls, as a high point receiver and on throws testing the very ends of his catch radius. He's got terrific hands and the needed strength to squeeze the ball with his fingertips. Only a select handful of drops, which mostly came on low throws or passes with significant wobble.

Contested Catch - You think you've got him pinned and next thing you know he's plucking it off your forehead. Shows dynamic elevation skills and the savvy to win positioning when he's working vertically. Very skilled on back shoulder throws up the sideline or running fade routes to open himself away from contact.

RAC Ability - Folks. Don't get in this man's way with the football. Runs ANGRY! Embarrasses soft tackle challenges and shows excellent open field vision to break an angle across the grain and gallop into the open. Runs like a back pressing the LOS in traffic: explosive, heavy cuts before opening strides again.

Football IQ - Was tasked with a lot of different looks. Ran releases from the slot and won over the MOF and up the seam. Ran some jet motion into quick throws. Tasked with screen game and also with working a pretty full tree on the outside against corners in his face. Impressive resume in versatility.

Vertical Receiving - Does he have 4.3 speed? No. Do I care? Also no. There's plenty of juice when he opens strides in hip to hip to stack defenders and shows good combat with the inside hand to stave off in phase defenders and create separation to provide a clean reception as he tracks the ball. Paces his read of the ball well.

COD Skills - Body control comes in useful here. He's able to drop those hips and shift his momentum pretty easily for whip routes and 90 degree breaks. His feet are silky smooth, proficient in setting up defenders while staying balanced and not overextending himself at the line of scrimmage.

Speed - Plenty of burst when you get him in the open field. His initial explosion isn't great and some defenders have crashed into his legs from behind after the catch as he gears up for a charge down the field. Will have no problems threatening vertically in the NFL or consistently breaking off big gains after the catch.

Competitive Toughness - Will straight bully smaller corners and those with sloppy technique. Love the effort he provides in supplemental areas, including stalk blocking. Will probably need to adjust a bit as college offense built in some plays where he didn't need to press off the snap if ball was run opposite his alignment.

Blocking Skills - Effort here is really, really nice. He'll snap inside and consciously turn hips out to create seal. Heavy and violent hands to punch and win initial spacing and there's no shortage of reps where he's sliding and mirroring his feet to sustain the block and provide clearance into the second level.

Best Trait - Hands

Worst Trait - Long Speed

Best Film - Alabama (2018)

Worst Film - Houston (2019)

Red Flags - None

Player Summary - CeeDee Lamb projects as an alpha WR in the NFL. No, he doesn't have elite top end speed, but Lamb checks damn near every other possible box. He's smooth with his feet, possesses elite body control, vacuum hands and is a dynamic, angry runner after the catch. Experienced in manufactured touches, boundary and slot work, Lamb should step into an offense and be comfortable filling any possible role than a coach could give him. A top-shelf WR prospect and impact starter early on.

Dolphins take Austin Jackson.

AUSTIN JACKSON
OT, USC

CONF Pac-12 - South JERSEY #73 CLASS Junior HT 6'6" DOB 05/17/1999 WT 310 lbs

Pass Sets - Angular releases out of his stance are a work in progress — he's come too flat or not taken enough depth and mid-set has to adjust his feet, causing compromised base and leaning into rushers. Mobility and athleticism is there for improved drive and his foot speed is quality to flip and carry when he's forced to run past the peak.

Length - Noticeable length — gives him a pretty big strike zone to land punches and offset upfield push. His timing is still spotty and too many reps flash hands late on the body, giving up his chest as a result. Has ample ability to stick blocks at full extension and stay attached to the body of defenders.

Balance - He's not built top heavy but there's times he plays top heavy — stemming primarily from killing his feet at first contact. If he's able to maintain his base, he's got good mobility through the lower half to keep his hips set low. His athleticism on the hoof is strong to work onto the second level.

Hand Technique - Placement is erratic, too many reps where he's clapping at first contact to catch bodies instead of delivering a blow. He'll need to narrow his placement down for better grasp of blocks. That said, he's got a really nice snatch technique to floor pass rushers running the arc.

Power at POA - When he's firing off the line of scrimmage, he's got a ton of power and when he's landing square, he'll blow you away. Applies his power on down blocks, chip blocks, combo blocks and more — effective to derail gap shooters. Loads of lower body and hand power at his disposal if he can tighten his technique.

Football IQ - Super raw. His frame is all over the place in many instances, showing inefficient movement pattern. There's so much potential with his mobility and length and he'll greatly benefit from continued coaching to provide him with more polish. Often gets by with natural ability, not fundamentals.

Functional Athleticism - Smooth. Seeing him climb up onto the second level is impressive given his stature and dense build. He's fairly nimble to redirect or pivot back inside to wall off pass rushers. Really like his foot speed and he carries himself well. Illustrates good bend through the knees to anchor and coil when taking contact. .

Anchor Ability - Plenty of natural strength through his core and lower half. When he flips into recovery mode, he's prone to getting his frame collapsed and turned for narrow angles. Secondary recovery is pretty good thanks to his athleticism to reset his feet and drop the hips or drive back inside

Flexibility - Plenty of mobility throughout his frame. His hip mobility to open out of his stance is effective for clean release. Like how he coils himself through contact on drive blocks. No restrictions to open his hips for angular sets. Late anchor and hip drop ability to slam the brakes versus power is present.

Competitive Toughness - When he's fit on blocks, he can be an absolute brute and maul defenders off the block. Unfortunately he doesn't carry the same gusto when looking for work or on the back side of plays. His functional strength is very good, although he loses some application due to narrow base/dead feet.

---

Best Trait - Functional Athleticism

Worst Trait - Technique

Best Film - BYU (2019)

Worst Film - Iowa (2019)

Red Flags - None

Player Summary - Austin Jackson is a promising OT prospect who has all of the physical tools to develop into a quality starter — but there's significant improvement needed in his fundamentals before he's ready to fill such a role. Jackson's footwork, hand placement, weight distribution and framing of blocks are all currently inconsistent and early reps are likely to yield irregular and inconsistent results. Jackson is likely best in zone heavy rushing offenses, where his mobility can win spacing at the POA.

Raiders take Damon Arnette.

DAMON ARNETTE
CB, Ohio State

CONF Big Ten - East JERSEY #3 CLASS RS Senior HT 6'0" DOB 09/02/1996 WT 195 lbs

Feet: Quiet feet with flexible ankles to enjoy a full change of direction range. Aggressive with his footwork and gains a lot of ground on his first instinct, but has quiet contact with the ground and can flip directions and change stride length with excellent instincts and reflexes. Feet can deaden at the snap at press coverage, which forces him into recovery situations he doesn't need to be in.

Man Technique: Highly physical corner who loves to crowd the kitchen and cancel throwing windows before they develop. Versatile in playing from various leverages and is adept at getting his eyes into the backfield in timing with route breaks to find the ball first and play through the catch point. Grabbiness can draw flags but it's worthy for his play style.

Zone Technique: Not super polished here, but has flashy reps that illustrate promise. Clearly understands route concepts and doesn't play himself out of position when his side suddenly vacates players. Can rock n roll with success and has great transitional quickness to get connected, but his spacing tends to be too distant early in reps. Doesn't sail technique well.

Press Technique: Has the goods, folks! Shows success in both soft-shoe and kick-step techniques and has the requisite length and agility to win in both. Feet can deaden and weight can rock back at the snap when soft-shoeing , which allows releases to immediately work to his outside shoulder, but his recovery footwork and angles are delightful, and he never misses an opportunity to crowd in the contact window. Aggressive kick-step technique works flawlessly and he can open his hips and speed-turn with success to respond to release moves. It's all there.

Ball Skills: Multiple quality PBUs on film generated as a result of quality eyes and crowding play style. Anticipates the catch point in phase with the receiver and is successful attacking the catch point with his back to the football. Understands how to work underneath breaking routes without losing phase with the receiver to get in a position to make plays. Solid length.

Mental Processing: Highly instinctual player who is at his worst when he's forced to sit and read patiently in off-man coverage or zone spacing. Will be suckered in by action in front of him and loves to be aggressive filling against constraint plays, which leaves him susceptible to routes developing behind him. Feel for routes breaking in man coverage is quality.

Reactionary Quickness: Flexible player with a full range of motion at his disposal. More twitched up than he is particularly agile laterally, but the explosiveness allows for him to quickly get in phase with receivers in the trail or attack downfield on short-breaking routes. Immediate reaction to receivers settling for the football or flashing hands at the catch point creates a ton of his high-quality plays. Ability to flip his feet and hips at the line is sublime.

Fluidity: Quality mover with a good profile for mirror man coverage from various alignments. Has great swivel and drive from odd angles to the ground and recovers his weight nicely when he gets beat off a bad release move. Better lateral agility would help him win more at the line of scrimmage in releases, but he opens his hips/feet so quickly that he conceals some of his agility limitations.

Tackling: He'll stamp you and then let you know about it, man. Highly physical dude with good density and great velocity to generate displacement force and finish tackles downhill. Able to chop down bigger receivers and ball-carriers at the hips and knees with nice flexibility to drop his hips and shoulders and carry power through the contact point.

Round Grade: incomplete

Best Trait: Man Tech

Worst Trait: Tackling

Player Comparison: Darius Slay

Summary: Damon Arnette is a Day 1 corner prospect for teams looking for a starter in press coverage, which should be every team in the league. The only concern with Damon Arnette's pro projection is the time it took for him to develop into a starter, as Arnette was a rare senior in the Ohio State secondary given his shaky junior performance. However, in his final season, Arnette displayed an aggressive approach to press coverage that allowed him to win by disrupting route timing early and crowding route stems in the short game. Arnette doesn't have elite speed and can lose own downfield routes, but his transitional quickness and hip mobility allow him a full range of short-area recovery, and he has tremendous ball skills at the catch point at all angles. Arnette should start in Year 1 in the league and find success as long as he keeps light feet at the line of scrimmage.

Jags take Chaisson.

K'LAVON CHAISSON
EDGE, LSU

CONF SEC - West JERSEY #4 CLASS Junior HT 6'4" DOB 07/25/1999 WT 250 lbs

First Step Explosiveness - Folks. This dude has rocket shoes, a jet pack or something else strapped on him. Explosiveness is top shelf and on reps where he's pressing for the edge he'll command length and clean feet to challenge him. He's sudden in space, too. Upfield drive step out of his 2 or 3 pt. stance gains a ton of ground.

Hand Technique/Length - His hand fits setting the edge against the run are excellent. Shows ability to lock out and get a firm stab on the numbers. He's coming along nicely in his ability to play with finesse as well. There's plenty of room to grow but the arrow points up for execution — got better here throughout the season.

Pass Rush Counters - Long arm, speed to power, double sweep and rip and dip are where he's most effective off the edge. Needs to develop another counter pre-contact and would love to see some more versatility to work inside. He has successfully flashed inside spin and came on strong with it throughout 2019 season to icepick and seal OTs.

Flexibility - Surreal body control, both in space and around the edge. Surface reduction/lower body tilt can get damn near parallel to ground. He's very loose through the hips and lower half to plant/drive with quickness or open against momentum. Still working on getting inside foot to catch at steep angles on outside.

Run Defending - His awareness is really strong and he pairs it with good gap discipline. Doesn't give up the edge with leverage. Sense to filter through traffic and use his hands to work through bodies to find the football are strong. Good balance to play off of contact and challenge as a tackler. He's super technical challenging pullers or turnout blocks.

Competitive Toughness - This. Motor. Runs. HOT. Love his competitive spirit and effort to work back into plays on the back side. Peels back into the pocket if the QB flushes and has found second effort production. He's stout with angles — not a true boomer in in-line alignments but he's also got some room to grow on his frame too, which is a scary thought.

Tackling - Explosive closing burst and a violent finisher. He'll hunt the football too when he's afforded the opportunity. Shows good length and good consistency as a wrap up tackler. Will make some plays he has no business making with his tackle radius and range thanks to short area agility.

Lateral Mobility - He's got to be a little cleaner when he's put in a bind on the edge, he can be a little ambitious to work upfield in space before flipping to open to the boundary. His inside stunts are elite and offer plenty of fluidity, contact balance and burst to crash through A-gaps. His mirror skills or range to drive inside are A+.

Stand Up Ability - How many guys of this stature do you know that successfully play jam in the slot or man up on TEs in the red zone? He's one of them. Pretty rare athlete with the versatility he brings to the table based on formations and personnel. Explosive burst out of a two-point stance as a rusher off the edge.

Football IQ - Despite less than 30 games played, he's impressive with how much was put on his plate in 2019. He's coming along with his hand counters and rush consistency to set up OTs for successful first challenges at contact. Run defending IQ is through the roof and he's a natural/comfortable mover when flexed out of the POA.

---

Best Trait - Explosiveness

Worst Trait - Production

Best Film - Alabama (2019)

Worst Film - Utah State (2019)

Red Flags - 2018 ACL tear

Player Summary - K'Lavon Chaisson is a dynamic threat off the edge — he possesses elite versatility, explosiveness and a prototypical build to play a hybrid EDGE. Chaisson is still developing as a pass rusher but his effectiveness in speed rushes and inside stunts will afford him a pathway to early disruption. Chaisson is a high end run defender with length and heavy hands — a true natural in that regard. The sky is the limit. Chaisson, with more rush versatility, can be a cornerstone defender.

Eagles take Jalen Reagor.

JALEN REAGOR
WR, TCU

CONF Big 12 JERSEY #1 CLASS Junior HT 5'11" DOB 01/01/1999 WT 195 lbs

Route Tree - Appreciate the nuance he brings to route releases to force false steps or create space before accelerating. He's shifty both at the LOS and when closing down on the toes of off defenders, showing great snap, footwork and pace. Movement skills to run any route in the tree.

Hands - There are lapses with concentration here, seemingly from looking to get his eyes up the field too quickly and look for run after catch opportunities. When he's focused, he gets it clean and has little issue catching balls that test his catch radius or elevating above the rim.

Contested Catch Ability - He's best when he has to go high for the football. If you're asking him to jostle for positioning and box out, that's not where he's going to win. But put a ball up high and outside in the red zone and he'll sky for it and typically gets his frame back around to greet the ball, too.

RAC Ability - Play him in the quick game and he's going to give you chunk gains from time to time, good field vision, excellent explosiveness, strong creativity to force a missed tackle or false step. Sells cuts with head snap, capable of stringing cuts together.

Football IQ - Natural instinct here to win on different levels, shows good understanding of when he's got leverage and how to sell defenders on something other than his true intent. Much more polished and pro-ready than offense gave him the chance to showcase.

Vertical Receiving Skills - Devastating vertical receiver with easy speed to blow past defenders who bite on double moves or fail to sink quick enough. His ball tracking skills are best in vertical situations, shows good body control to high point, adjust to the ball and pounce to attack the football.

Change of Direction Ability - Twitch is littered all throughout his game and whether that comes in speed outs, stop routes, lateral releases vs. press or cutting back against defensive pursuit, he'll make undisciplined defenders look silly with his redirect ability.

Speed - Blazing fast runner who has track speed. One of the fasts game speed players in the class, regardless of position. Playing him off will create a lot of easy separation and catches underneath unless you bracket him. Minimal lag from snap to top speed, quick accelerator, too.

Competitive Toughness - Play strength is suitable to play on the outside but this isn't a player who thrives on winning vs. contact, he's better when you give him more space to work with. Like his effort with the ball in his hands to maximize yardage.

Blocking Ability - Wouldn't plant him on the front side of plays and expect a lot of success escorting defenders out of the way. You'll get just enough disruption to allow a back to slip up inside the boundary defender but length, hand strength and urgency aren't notable here.

Best Trait - Vertical Receiving

Worst Trait - Drops

Best Film - WVU (2018)

Worst Film - Oklahoma (2019)

Red Flags - None

Summary - Jalen Reagor is one of the most dynamic receiving prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft. Reagor's skill set fits best when projecting forward into a vertical passing offense as a Z-receiver, where he can defeat press coverage, attack down the field and force defenses to respect his speed or pay the consequences. Reagor brings explosive burst and simultaneous control on his stems to carry himself for separation — he's got upside to work inside as a slot receiver as well. NFL starter.

Vikings take Justin Jefferson.

JUSTIN JEFFERSON
WR, LSU

CONF SEC - West JERSEY #2 CLASS Junior HT 6'3" DOB 06/16/1999 WT 192 lbs

PROS: Smooth operator and a true route technician. Varies his route tempo to keep corners guessing and there is plenty of variance to how he releases into his stem. Took full advantage of LSU’s passing game concepts in 2019 and showcased a wonderful ability to make adjustments on the fly and read leverage. Lethal on option routes. Mitts are generally strong and there are plenty of plucks outside of his frame. Does well to show his hands late and not tip the arrival of the ball. Body control is outstanding and he excels in contested situations. Tracks and adjusts with ease. Productive worker after the catch. Has operated both outside and from the slot. Competes hard as a blocker while also showcasing good technique with his hands and setting his base. Does well to bend his route stems to set up vertical cuts. Fairly fluid and smooth. Finds success in contested situations on account of his hands, body positioning and competitive toughness. The game slows down for him when the ball arrives.

CONS: Needs to maximize his route technique to separate down the field. Has some long steps into his breaks and he needs to find that blend of trying to be deceptive and not getting stuck on cuts. Footwork and ability to reduce his surface area when working against press coverage is sound but he has room to grow with how he deploys his hands to clear jams.

BEST TRAIT - Ball Skills

WORST TRAIT - Top of Routes

RED FLAGS - None

NFL COMP - Tyler Boyd

Justin Jefferson flashed an exciting skill set in 2018 and it fully materialized as part of LSU’s historic offense in 2019. On the same page with Joe Burrow, Jefferson led the country with 111 receptions, was second in receiving touchdowns (18) and third in receiving yards (1,540). Despite his brothers Jordan and Ricky being meaningful parts of the LSU program in previous years, Justin was a modest recruit out of high school. A versatile receiver, Jefferson has the skills to win from the slot and outside with appeal at all levels of the field. His best qualities are his route running, hands and ball skills. Jefferson is likely a No. 2 or 3 option in an NFL passing game but he should be productive if paired with the right quarterback and a system that accentuates his strengths.

KENNETH MURRAY
LB, Oklahoma

CONF Big 12 JERSEY #9 CLASS Junior HT 6'2" DOB -- WT 234 lbs

Tackling: Explosive athleticism and rocked up frame with big length illustrates a distinctly powerful and consistent tackler. Has a bit of a high wrap-up area because of his taller frame, but he can win wrapping around shoulder pads or the upper body with success. Good grip strength and strike power with his upper body to knock or wrench his opponent off his base, and can drag down with success given size/strength. Radius is large and his extra gear of burst helps him get into tackles on the edge others would miss.

Range: Delightful on the hoof. Has a great speed profile for a player of his density; good initial explosiveness with strong recognition ability on sideline and boundaries plays, and then a second gear to close the final angle and get to the contact point. Has some trouble gathering his final momentum and can be a runaway freight train at time.

Block Deconstruction: Odd struggles here. Will initiate contact with length and look to shock with aggressive hand placement, but doesn't maintain control over his opponent and rag doll or shuck with any consistency. Wins leverage but then maintains it and doesn't work to cross face in those moments that it makes sense. As such, gets stonewalled often and frequently finished as well as he tries to fight through power instead of using his hands to shed. Has good flexibility to slip blocks on the run and get his hips back into the line of scrimmage.

Toughness: Great contact balance in tight alleyways and does a great job surviving contact in the first level to keep his feet and get involved in the tackle. Effective when taking on kick out blocks and pullers and has good stopping power against backs and linemen alike. Willing to generate velocity into contact to deliver a strike and will finish aggressively when the opportunities arise.

Mental Processing: I really do think he sees things quick, even for some of the flabbergasting and exasperating moments on film. Clearly has a good instinct for flow and will get on his horse to beat opponents to their landmark on wide zone plays. Sifts through pullers and climbers nicely on complex looks with multiple offensive linemen on the move and regularly gets to the right area of the field, though over-pursuit is a common issue that must be addressed. Instinct not nearly as developed in space, especially in zone coverage, as it is when playing downhill.

Decision-making: Surprisingly tepid player who seems at times arrested by his own process. Regularly remains too deep off the line of scrimmage and fails to scrape close to his defensive linemen, leaving room for cutbacks, climbers, or otherwise offensive work to make him wrong in space. Will hesitate with an open gap square in front of his hips to shoot and look to scrape over the top to boundary tackles he has no chance of making. Does not maximize his length, physicality, or burst.

Short Area Quickness: Not a nimble player. Too upright, with a long stride length and a ton of momentum when he's on the move. Not an inflexible player, actually has a bit of looseness and swivel to his hips and can get sufficient hip sink when he's looking to redirect, though internal knee bend seems unhealthy. With that said, has to take multiple steps to gather and explode opposite. Has enough quickness to get into his zone drops or flip his hips in man coverage against tight ends, however, which is a big deal.

Man Cover Ability: Infrequently used in man coverage responsibilities but clearly has some translatable ability. Length and explosiveness helps him stay connected on tight end routes, but he's able to flip his hips and carry crossers opposite him given his athletic ability. Has no experience carrying routes downfield and cannot be trusted early to tag seam runners or wheels, though the potential is there. Concerning blitz rate in man coverage concepts indicates he's being hidden.

Zone Cover Ability: Solid zone coverage player in simple responsibilities at this time, but more will be needed from him in the league. Controlled and fluid in most of his drops, though he can get suckered in by backfield action/QB eyes and get happy feet, squaring himself to the line of scrimmage. Does not yet have good instincts for routes developing behind him and will unintentionally overlap with his teammates, exposing players in space. Struggles mightily to recover after play-action gets him into the backfield. Experience needed here.

Round Grade: Incomplete

Best Trait: Range

Worst Trait: Decision-Making

Player Comparison: Stephone Anthony

Summary: Kenneth Murray is a Day 2 linebacker prospect with a higher ceiling in a different scheme. Behind the slanting front of Alex Grinch and against complex, pulling Big 12 offenses, Murray struggled to generate a high impact play between the tackles, as he was frequently scraping and working to redirect his momentum into the backfield. Murray projects best to a 3-4 SILB or 4-3 SAM role, that allows him to play directly downhill into the trees and blow up blockers, while making strong plays into the boundary with his unique speed and length at his size. Murray is a high upside prospect if deployed correctly, and is a candidate for Year 2 starting responsibilities if he improves his zone coverage drops.

CESAR RUIZ
IOL, Michigan

CONF Big Ten - East JERSEY #51 CLASS Junior HT 6'4" DOB 06/14/1999 WT 319 lbs

Functional Athleticism - His pulls are crisp! Really appreciate how clean his hip hinge and feet are to get out of his stance with suddenness to keep angles tight and quickly work out in front of plays as a lead blocker. His short area mirror skills surprise, especially given his dense and wide frame. Light on his feet and effective to quickly drive back inside.

Football IQ - Polished player with three seasons worth of starts on the interior. He's got good talk before the snap and rarely, if ever, caught off guard by stunts or blitzes. Shows effective reaction to penetration, implementing slingshot technique as needed to recover versus a hard upfield burst.

Anchor Ability - Naturally thick and his lower body carries a ton of his mass, meaning he's got a naturally low center of gravity and isn't easy to bull. Locked horns with plenty of heavy handed and long armed defenders and maintained his squat and glute recruitment to play confidently and with clean posture to hold his ground.

Hand Technique - His short area work is effective, he's got strong grip strength and upper body to torque and push/ pull defenders out of gaps. He doesn't have super rangy punches but his mobility helps him to mask well enough and keep defenders in his strike zone. Really sharp first punch with his free hand at the snap.

Balance - He's super stout and carries his frame very well, both in close quarters and on the hoof. When he's asked to release on to the second level or work the fringes as a screen blocker he's nimble and shows good grasp on when to break down and make sure he doesn't overrun his targets.

Pass Sets - Wide base and smooth footwork — impressive. His slide sets and quick sets show snap and allow him to set up quickly and get framed on his blocks. Showed improved cadence in steps as he was walked back into the pocket to stay evenly tethered and ready to drop anchor.

Flexibility - Lateral mobility through the hips to throw himself open and accelerate is strong. For such a tall body at center, he looks to be much improved with his pad level in 2019 versus initial looks at his game from 2018. He's effective to drop the hips and bend the knees, showing high end coil though the core and torso.

Power at POA - Capable of railroading smaller IDLs and will delete LBs shooting into A-gaps. He's had some stunning double teams with teammates Michael Onwenu and Ben Bredeson on the interior. Has all the functional strength he'll ever need to hold up in one on ones against nose tackles.

Length/Extension - Reach and extension aren't his hallmark traits. He's pretty boxy and doesn't showcase a great radius of influence away from his chest. That said, he masks his reach with quick hands and the foot activity necessary to press the issue and stay persistent in the face of defenders.

Competitive Toughness - Stout! Appreciate the tenacity he brings to the game. He's not an immobile boulder, even if he's built like one. Instead, he's a wrecking ball inside and he's got the athleticism to be a unique asset to the offensive line. His effort level is A1 on screens, in pass protection when unoccupied and when he's in the open field.

Best Trait - Balance

Worst Trait - Length

Best Film - Ohio State (2019)

Worst Film - Iowa (2019)

Summary - Cesar Ruiz is a rock solid center prospect who should comfortably slot into any kind of offensive system at the NFL level. Ruiz brings desirable strength in one on one scenarios but also provides nimble quickness as a puller and in pass protection. His lack of length regulates him to manning the middle as a center only, but he's a cerebral and polished player leaving Michigan and should provide stability and effective communication at the heart of whichever offensive line he calls home.

BRANDON AIYUK
WR, Arizona State

CONF Pac-12 - South JERSEY #2 CLASS Senior HT 6'0" DOB 03/17/1998 WT 201 lbs

Route Tree - If you play off, he's going to tear you up. Super athlete with looseness to his frame and the ability to create false steps in space. Sells whip and vertical stems very nicely and shows sharp snap at top of routes. Struggles versus press to stack and play through contact.

Hands - He'll let a few get away from him that should end up as catches, but generally speaking he's got plucky hands and will quickly snatch the ball as it enters his frame. Strength for high point situations is present. Would like to see him tuck ball more secure after the catch, however.

Contested Catch Ability - He's not the tallest receiver but he does have ample reach and he's super springy to go up above the rim and rip the ball down with authority. He tracks the ball well vertically and shows ability to adjust his body and react or flash his numbers to back shoulder throws.

RAC Ability - He's a game breaker. Has shown skills as a ball carrier in the return game as well and often called upon in tunnel screen game to find reps in one on one with a defender. He's fluid, loose and has a natural feel for finding grass and creating creases for himself.

Football IQ - He struggles most on routes working back downhill to the LOS, especially when in tight man coverage. Thrives more in space and will need accommodations here while he's building out his release resume in order to find early impact he's got the potential for.

Vertical Receiving Skills - His accelerator is awesome to watch, you see him put the gas pedal down after a head fake and he'll bow his route to stay clear of contact and accelerate to space. His ball tracking ability down the field is quite good and shows good body control and ball tracking ability.

Change of Direction Ability - He's about as twitchy as you'll find. He's going to stress defenders in one on one off coverage or once he's secured the ball and turns up into the alley to avoid him opening their hips and cutting across face. Dynamic lower half with explosive, dynamic steps to cover ground.

Speed - Plenty of juice. You get him in the open field and let him open up his strides and he's going to blow you away. Really appreciate his ability to open up his strides as a route runner too, is going to force respect and soft coverage at the top of his route breaks with his juice.

Competitive Toughness - Brings good effort to the field both with the ball in his hands and when his teammates are looking to work up the field. His ability to defeat press coverage isn't consistent yet and more authority/physicality to play through contact will unleash his game further.

Blocking Ability - Effort is good and so is his baseline of skills. Lateral quickness to move his feet is effective and shows plenty of length and upper body strength to stay persistent and lean on defenders who look to shoot across his face.

He'll need to hone is releases versus physical press coverage but in the meantime Aiyuk could find immediate success in the slot while honing boundary skills.

CONF Mountain West - Mountain JERSEY #10 CLASS RS Junior HT 6'4" DOB 11/02/1998 WT 223 lbs
ANALYST'S REPORTS
MarinoSolakHarrisCrabbsReid
Accuracy: Has some delightful flashes and is generally NFL-quality here. Biggest missed throws are a result of being on different pages with his receivers in regards to downfield adjustments, or just those throws where he forgets to look at where the defenders are. Touch throws, especially through intermediate and deep windows, and throwing players covered to uncovered, are unteachable and high-quality.

Decision-Making: Does not have an actionable process in the pocket and is extremely risk prone with the football. Attacks his first read without adjustment to potential outplays by the defense and often panics on the hoof, throwing into congested areas or to players he can't realistically reach. Extremely scattershot on late downs with a ton of panic.

Poise: Not so much poised as he is just unaware of the pocket collapsing. Willing to look in the face of pressure developing down the middle and still deliver downfield while being hit, but is risk-prone in this regard and will throw poorly-planned jump balls in response to pressure frequently. Not a desirable late game/red zone/late down QB at this stage as he has some panic to his game.

Arm Strength: It just comes easy to the kid. Has a flick-of-the-wrist release to short areas that gets the ball out in a hurry but doesn't sacrifice zip. Flexible frame with rubber band action through the wrist and elbow to whip intermediate throws on a line and hit receivers in stride. Ball jumps off the hand. Ability to take some zest off of it and feather it in there with touch and timing is really quite ridiculous. Best throws are arm talent throws.

Pocket Management: Has good movement skills, contact balance, and an active base in the pocket to escape the first pressure and retain his ability to work downfield. With that said, has a poor sense of spacing. Will climb into a pocket that is doesn't require it and accordingly force himself to launch hurriedly and from poor platforms. Feet will die at the top of his drop at times, putting him behind the eight-ball in terms of reacting to pressure.

Mobility: Natural mover with good athleticism throughout his frame. Can withstand glancing pressure or outrun sluggish defensive linemen in space to keep the play alive. Threat to pull it on read options and RPOs and rip off healthy gains, though not really a true tackle-breaker or homerun threat with the ball tucked. Has a quality throw-on-move profile that showcases his natural arm.

Progressions: He's not a progression thrower at this stage in his career. Reads a half-field deep to shallow and doesn't have to reset his feet in the pocket. Shows good eye manipulation in his drops when the defense is as he expected pre-snap, but cannot adjust his process to shifting safeties and loses his hot route regularly by the time he finishes his drop. Cannot manipulate layered zone coverages or put sail corners in conflict at this stage in his development.

Anticipation: Just couldn't tell you what he's looking at, at times. Has no respect for post-snap movement of underneath defenders and at times doesn't even correctly ID defenders pre-snap at times. Needs to see it before he throws it at most levels of the field and is often jumpy attacking seemingly open players in closing windows.

Mechanics: He's an extremely loose mover and it shows up in his throwing mechanics. Natural release with the ability to get hip rotation from a number of platforms and while he's in and out of timing. Able to adjust his arm slot as the situation demands it without a significant drop-off in accuracy. Isn't as rigorous and disciplined with his lower half as you'd like to see, but doesn't seem to suffer for it.

Round Grade: Early 3

Best Trait: Arm Strength

Worst Trait: Anticipation

Player Comparison: Jake Locker

Summary: Jordan Love is an incomplete passer who has understandably attracted the NFL eye with the ceiling offered by his natural talent. Love's natural release of the football, ability to throw receivers covered to uncovered with touch, and extension of plays all profile as a high-caliber playmaker in the NFL in the mold of a Mahomes, Wilson, or Rodgers. With that said, nothing about Love's play is yet normalized: he does not set his throwing base, get into his drop, identify his read, or place the football with anything resembling consistency. Love will be picked on by NFL defenders if forced to start early in his career, and I believe he is a strong candidate to sit for a season as he adjusts to the speed of NFL play and scripts for himself a better response to pressure packages and safety rotations. Love is a boom/bust prospect who will be overdrafted for his boom, and his stock is conditional on landing with a team willing to do the hard work of developing him.

Probably worried about the teams at the top of the second round trading up. I'm not enamored. Love better be the heir apparent, and a good one. If they go from Favre to Rodgers to a Pro Bowl caliber QB, they'll look like genuises. Otherwise, wasted pick. We'll see. It will be a long time before we know if this was the right move. Just like the Rodgers move. Love was not good in 2019, but he basically lost every starter on offense. He went from 33 TDs-6 ints in 2018 to 20 TDs-17 ints in 2019.

Seattle takes Jordyn Brooks.

JORDYN BROOKS
LB, Texas Tech

CONF Big 12 JERSEY #1 CLASS Senior HT 6'1" DOB -- WT 245 lbs
ANALYST'S REPORTS
MarinoCrabbs
Football IQ - He's a "see ball, attack ball" defender who thrives when he's given the chance to react instead of anticipate. His sense of navigating gaps and attack forward is boosted by some slippery habits and potent first step, not necessarily because he has the fastest trigger or play diagnosis skills.

Tackling - His range is top shelf and his exposure to playing in the wide open BIG 12 has forced him into covering a lot of turf. His angles in lateral pursuit aren't always super consistent and he can be guilty of coming down the LOS too flat and overrunning the play. He's got explosive pads and sufficient wrap up skill.

Block Shedding - Fairly ineffective here, wasn't given a lot of reps where he was stepping down into blocks and actually challenging blockers. He's slippery and does well to drop the shoulder or shoot across the face but if you run down hill at him, he's going to struggle to stack up and hold his gap.

Competitive Toughness - High motor defender who flies all over the field and brings consistent pursuit skills. He's fairly dense and carries his weight well, offering some notable hitting power as he looks to prevent extra yards after contact. He's not the most potent plug defender, through — OL will give him troubles.

Lateral Mobility - Has sideline to sideline ability and the short area juice to embarrass blockers that don't feel or anticipate him crashing the party. He's fairly fluid in underneath drops as a zone defender, too. Loose hips to open and buzz as needed to cut off the ball or ball carriers alike.

Coverage Skills - Predominantly a short spaces defender — wouldn't put a lot of turn and run reps or man coverage on his plate. His best asset on passing downs is as a QB spy or when he serves as a pressure player. He has the physical tools to improve as a hash defender in zone over top of the slot, but expect growing pains there.

Gap Shooting Skills - When he sees a lane develop, he's through it before you know what hit you. He's got a really fun first step and his slashing style will create a lot of splash plays for any team that can find the balance of working him close to the LOS without having him worry about bumping heads with OL at the point of attack.

Feet/COD - Fluid athlete. Natural mover that has change of direction you'd expect from a defender that is 20 pounds lighter. That's his most appealing quality — he's able to transition and trigger very quickly and covers a lot of space thanks to explosive first step out of his read.

Flexibility - Fluid body control whose errors and missed tackles come more from a lack of discipline than they do any movement restrictions. He's pretty clean to drop his hips and gear down or tilt off his base and carry speed through his turns as he pressures the pocket or plays off the backside as a pursuit defender against the run.

First Step Explosiveness - Potent. He's got a lot of bounce and his ability to drive off the second level and still beat offensive linemen to the spot is pretty impressive. He'll bring an impact to a hybrid defense as an attack player on 3rd downs if he's let off the leash and encouraged to attack the pocket on a regular basis.

---

Best Trait - Gap Shooting Skills

Worst Trait - Block Shedding

Best Film - Oklahoma State (2019)

Worst Film - Baylor (2019)

Red Flags - None

Summary - Jordyn Brooks projects as a sub-package defender at the NFL level. Working Brooks into a 3-down role is likely to require him to play the WILL, where his range and short area quickness can be amplified without tasking him to address blockers with consistency. Brooks' game is predicated around playing in space and being slippery to attack the LOS — his best value comes as a QB spy or blitz player. He's a fairly visual defender, so giving him free roaming reps is a must for best results.

Ravens take Patrick Queen.

PATRICK QUEEN
LB, LSU

CONF SEC - West JERSEY #8 CLASS Junior HT 6'1" DOB 08/13/1999 WT 227 lbs

Tackling: Admirable explosiveness into the contact point with great technique. Coils and unlocks his hips to explode through his target and brings his feet with his hips to drive through power and ensure he doesn't get knocked back. Is rarely ran over despite having average mass; good density in his frame helps. Has poor length and accordingly struggles with dragdown tackles outside of his frame, which limits the value of his range, as his tackle radius outside of his frame is small.

Range: Highly bursty player in tight areas with good long speed to the poles. Has excellent peripheral vision to sniff out boundary plays and rarely false steps downhill to sharpen his angles into the sideline. Has a decent second gear to close into the contact point without spiraling out of control, but at times will over-pursue into the boundary and allow for upfield cuts.

Block Deconstruction: Difficult to tag in space for plodding offensive linemen and highly aggressive and proactive in destroying blocks before they get established. Squares his hips into climbers and attacks wrist/elbow weak points to deny opponents; drops hips and fires into pullers/kick out blocks with ideal leverage without fail and squeezes interior gaps. Can snatch tight ends on the boundary and has excellent quickness and flexibility to shuck initial. context and present quickly in gaps as runners get upfield.

Toughness: Gritty dude who is limited by his sub-average size, but plays with admirable toughness. Throws his body downfield into contact when addressing pullers and kick-out blocks and has impressive second/third effort plays fighting through contact to control gaps or get involved in tackles. Loves to be the fill defender and will shoot tackles with a ton of physicality and stopping power.

Mental Processing: He might be a genius. Multiple reps per game of him moving in concert with, or even ahead of, offensive linemen on running concepts. Multiple examples of deciphering read option action from the second level and stymying number advantages for the offense by getting significantly ahead of blocks and forcing runners back into help. Regularly occupies underneath throwing windows and understands how to bail after RPO/PAP action to take away the first read.

Decision-making: His ability to interpret backfield action and get to the right spot is pretty shocking, especially when you consider how little starting experience he has under his belt. Occasionally plays himself out of position when he's making pre-snap reads, but the negatives are far outweighed by the positives. Ability to adjust on the fly post-snap and exchange responsibilities as a fill or short zone defender is elite. Generates key defensive plays (TFLs, INTs) by rapidly working through his keys and getting a step ahead of offenses -- is very difficult to manipulate or displace.

Short Area Quickness: Near-elite agility for the position gives him quality plays both outside and within the tackle box. Critical ability to slip blockers in tight areas and retain enough balance and surface area to make a tackle is a product of his flexibility and quickness. Mirroring quickness on the second level allows him to work through the trash and slip through tight alleyways to present in the backfield. Can match routes in space with good footwork and body positioning.

Man Cover Ability: Matches from the overhang without issues. Ability to get connected on rail/flat/wheel concepts on backs gives him the opportunity to make PBU/INT plays -- great at flipping his head and locating the football for his experience level. Will get caught peeking into the backfield at times and should become more comfortable reading through routes without reading the QB.

Zone Cover Ability: Highly adept zone cover defender who overlaps short zones with ease and makes high-quality plays accordingly. Splits routes developing in his area and will bait QBs into ill-advised throws. Will open his hips the wrong way at times which is likely an overreaction to QB drops and a result of inexperienced play. Will arrive to the catchpoint with velocity to generate PBUs.

Round Grade: Incomplete

Best Trait: Decision-Making

Worst Trait: Tackling

Player Comparison: Deion Jones

Summary: Patrick Queen is a quality Day 1 linebacker for a team hunting an every down MIKE or WILL at the NFL level. Queen's football intelligence and reactionary quickness are off the charts, and his nose for misdirection and intermediate routes has shocking instincts for only a one-year starter. Queen has near-elite quickness with quality flexibility and play strength to dodge blocks in tight areas and present in gaps, and has a high incidence of backfield tackles given his explosiveness and strength, as well as his diagnosing ability. Queen is a stubbier player with an average tackle radius, and his size will have him losing to power in the trenches, but players with this blend of quickness, toughness, and instincts don't come by every draft class. He is a high-ceiling NFL linebacker with an ideal skillset for the modern NFL.

With Aaron Rodgers on the back nine of his career, the Packers wisely select a young quarterback to groom as his successor. Sources close to #Packers QB Aaron Rodgers say he is "beside himself" about the team's decision to draft a QB in the 1st round. "Aaron feels betrayed, he was told by management they would get him some weapons to throw to."

Trouble brewing in Packerland.

i just went through a couple of vs video real quick. i don't see anything special. and he seems to only be a shotgun QB
Does he hold onto the ball for 11 seconds also? Sounds like Deja Vo

Gutey does have some balls though, gotta give him that.

Boy, people are over exaggerating

No kidding. It’s like people forgot how quickly a 35+ year old QB’s career can end. Or how absolute awful the Packers looked with excrement at the back up QB position the last several years.

And maybe also didn’t notice, but Rodgers isn’t exactly getting better.

Rodgers sounds entitled--like Favre at the end of his career.

Pre-Draft Analysis
Love has good size, a strong arm, above-average mobility and big hands. His touchdown-to-interception went from 32-to-6 in 2018 to 20-to-17 in 2019, and his overall decision-making needs to be more consistent. He throws off platform as well as anyone in this class, he can adjust his release point to avoid pressure and he shows excellent touch. -- Steve Muench

I don't like the pick. However, if Rodgers gets hurt again I might.

He's gotta be right? He's the absolute man on campus and suddenly some dude is right behind him. No idea how it will play out or what the Pack brass think of Rodgers.

This is one of your worst takes. Packers being proactive about the QB position is what makes them the exact opposite of what Cleveland’s been doing for 20 years.

Nope. We were a team that is a few players away from a Super Bowl. We have a Franchise QB locked up with guaranteed $ for 4 years. Love is very questionable and no slam dunk by any means. He is kind a head case and already has had some legal issues. This is not the guy. I think he is gonna bust.

Did you not see what the Niners did today? They understand “the window”. They went and got two potential “game changers” and basically put on a clinic.

We traded up for QB that had a down year at Utah State with major question marks. It’s not like Joe Burrow dropped to us so this isn’t anything like when Rodgers dropped to us years ago. This is ridiculous.

Love is not gonna be the 3rd hof QB in a row. Let’s see what he can do throwing to these bums besides Adams. It’s just sad.

It isn't so much that Gute is throwing in the towel for Rodgers final years - it's the combination of that along with the pick itself, i.e. Love's tape does not look good at all.

They just drafted him on pure speculation... b/c to date - he's not been very good.

The kid threw 17 picks last year!! Yikes, is the word that comes to mind.

Basically Gute and Lafleur saying Rodgers isn't capable of leading a team to a SB anymore. The balls to say we are going to not only use a first rounder but trade up to get a guy than in no way helps our current roster, to be his replacement. Wow. I'm just dumbfounded. If I'm Aaron I'm trying to figure any way to get the fuck out of GB.
