Hey ras, hope all’s well man. I bet on the Vikings last year at long odds thinking they’d click when Hunter went down. Good thing 12 won the MVP or I woulda had a break even year. This could be a solid year for the Vikes. Packers too if 12 doesn’t leave.

Yea, they were bad last year but still won a few games. Bad injury situation and some real real bad OL play. I've learned not to try and predict an NFL season.

I liked it when the team with the first pick could sign the guy ahead of time. I hate this TV bullshit. My first NFL draft was like 1983 or 1984. Went to the Metrodome and watched in some big conference room open to the public. They simply announced the picks......Wish they would go back to that.
jacksonville draft party looks pretty lame, about 6 people on the field at the stadium
Trevor Lawerence, Clemson
it was a joke
we've known he would be going #1 today for like 3 years

It's evolved too. Several years ago the picks went somewhat fast but now they get 3 picks behind to interview everybody and their friggen girlfriend, mother, father, great uncle. Alot of these guys simply wash out.
Save the interviews for when they are established NFL players.

You guys want no spoilers tonight in case someone hears something before announced? I'm ok now with spoilers since the NFL takes forever to announce picks.
yay, a concert by some band i don't want to listen to

Mac Jones looks like a guy who gets drafted high, flames out, then talks about the NFL on ESPN for 15 years until he's busted for diddling everything he can find.
so denver has pick #9, as packer fans, thats something we need to be watching

Could get some real good shit at 9. I've heard the Vikings wanted to move into the top 10. Likely for Slater.

frig off bubs
i don't get why the "experts" continue to always rate alabama QBs so high every year
theres already talks that the dolphins are thinking of moving on from tua
when you are surrounded by nfl players playing in college, its gonna take a lot for you to not look really good. guy had 2-1st round wrs, a first round running back, and god knows how many of his linemen will get drafted tonight
this band really sucks. shouldn't the jags be on the clock by now?

If we got Slater, and two more firsts down the road, we’d be in good shape for the Love era to begin.

Vikings are going to have a few guys to pick from at 14.
The Vikings suck. They'll make a great first round pick, but then blow the rest of the draft. :)
Honestly, I've never seen a team have more superstars that end up not getting them to the promised land.
I hope they take Slater or Vera-Tucker.

Yea that Tedford thing sure was a bummer. Agree though. Just because the guys before were bad, past performance is no indication of future performance.

Yep. I live in Ohio. Seen plenty of the kid. He's a player. Many recent OSU QBs had a major flaw of some kind. Weak arm. Lack of mobility. Not Fields.

That + the size though = OG. He'd be a unicorn if he's a good OT. In the 6 years, there isn't one OT at his size with his arm length that is a top flight OT in the NFL. The only guy who came close is Jedrick Willis, but he has monkey arms (34 1/2").

Actually, arm length is not underrated at OT. Not many top flight OTs with short arms. There are a few, but it's rare. However, Slater combines that in a 6'4" 304 frame. Now, I get that Slater hit the minimum. On the button, but combined with his size, he'll be a hell of a OG in a zone scheme.

Brian O'Neil has 34 1/8" arms--much longer than this guy. Way more than the average. Plus, he's 6'7" and had room to add to his frame. Plus, he really isn't the great. You'd hope at pick #14 you'd get better.

I actually liked Darrisaw as much as Slater... because I project Slater to OG. Probably a good trade for the Vikings, if they are targeting Farley or Phillips (two guys with big upside but injury concerns). Farley is the best CB in this draft, but has a 20% chance of playing little in the NFL. Phillips might be the best pass rusher in the draft. One guy that looks ideal for the Vikings is Jayson Oweh.
