This week I think

Why the heck would the PR playoffs start when the regular season isn't even finished?

I'm not in them, I'm in 3rd in our div and have lost the last two weeks

Don't Fantasy Football playoffs always try to start before the season ends, since not every fantasy player will be in the playoffs?

I think they traditionally try to end before Week 17 too, since a lot of good players on playoff teams play minimally in week 17.

I agree. He looks so much more comfortable blocking on the edges than he does inside. He just isn't strong enough to hold up against the massive defense tackles that we face.

Funny to go back and read this, and notice how troll-like Rastak seems on here. At least, through the first dozen pages or so. I didn't read the whole thing. He does it in a subtle way though. Even when he praises the Pack, there's a subtle dig thrown in.

I just read the whole thread, and after reading the posts above, I re-read Ras' posts. I don't see him being a troll at all.

Several times pointed out that Grant was running well, Packers playing well, etc. Calling the game pretty fair. Not with G&G colored glasses, but certainly not troll-like either.

I guess that since we don't tolerate real trolls around here, we might mistake someone for acting like a troll when they're really not. :?

Quick prediction....Packers 24 Raiders 13.....Favre 235 yards, 2 TD 0 INT, Grant 155 yards, 1 TD

Here's my prediction from page 1 of this thread.....look how close I was! Grant had 156 yards, 1 TD, and Brett have around the 250 yard mark, 2 TD, 1 INT!

Damn, it's so subtle even I missed it. Maybe you're just reading what you're expecting to hear and not what I'm saying. I thought Favre looked kinda shakyy early and I thought the Raiders got screwed on a couple of plays. I thought Grant played outstanding and the Packers OL did a great job run blocking. I thought Favre made some nice plays as the game went on and the Packers basically kicked the Raiders in the arse.

Not sure which part is the troll part. :o

Rastak
12-10-2007, 09:27 AM
Okay, I looked back and re-read my comments to see what you were talking about.

Why did he field it inside the 10?

Well, I always think it's dumb to do that, no matter what team does it, Vikings included.

Bad pass........nice run blocking so far by GB......

I though Favre was shakey early but GB was opening really nice holes and Grant seemed to be hitting them hard. Just my opnion.

Does he have no confidence in Crosby? 4th and 4? Aye yi yi.

Crosby has a really strong leg and I totally disagreed with going for it. I guess you could say this sounded troll like if you didn;t know me but I'll ask the question again. I thought the situation called for a FG and he didn't do it. Sometimes teams do that when they aren't sure on their kicker.

Stupid to go for it.

I thought it was idiotic for the Raiders to go for it in that situation.

Very nice play....two stupid calls in a row though...3rd and 3 and a slow developing run and a pitch of 4th and 1? And why even go for it in that situation?

GREAT play by Collins but the Raiders called a slow developing run play on 3rd down. Then made a stupid decision to go for it....then called a pitch on 4th down. Strange sequence for the Raiders if you ask me and a great play by Collins.

Anyway, Tar thought Favre looked good and I thought he wasn't getting the usual zip on the ball. Just my opinion. I don't think I threw out anything designed to rile everyone up, which is what trolls do.

You give me wayyyy too much credit for being clever.

Anyway, nice game for the Pack and Favre didn't seem to make his injury worse so all is well in Green and Gold land.

Has Crosby kicked in Green Bay when it was cold yet?

We'll see how he adjusts.

yes. and I'm not impressed. I mean Rayner did fine last year until the cold games, too. I admit, it certainly makes one appreciate what Longwell did here all those years.
Rayner missed a FG and an XP on New Year's Eve in the spaceship.

Longwell didn't kick that great in bad weather. He used to miss at least 3 FG's a game but would kick on in the 4th quarter and tell everyone how great he is.

Of course it was never his fault when Longwell missed. It was the holder, the snapper, the beer vendor, the announcers, the cheerleaders, or the parking attendant who was at fault.
