  • Is It a Good Idea to Spend 450 Bucks on 2 Crappy Tickets???

My folk are like 15,000-ish on the waiting list, so I can't score tickets to the playoffs game at face value.

I checked out theticketking.com, and the divisional game prices are dropping. However, only crappy end zone seats are available, and they are still 200+ a piece.

I want take my girlfriend to the game. Is it a good idea?

Yes, but I am torn by the opportunity cost of going to the game. On some travel sites, $450 is enough for a nice 1-week vacation to somewhere exotic. The Pack game is only 3 hours long, the seats are crappy, and I also face the possibility of being hurt should the Pack lose. I shed 400 bucks to the Pack-Falcons game a few years ago, and I was not happy with the outcome.

      What should I do?

You can rent a big 60 inch HDTV for not even half that and watch the game in your own environment.

Perhaps you might consider paying off the $3k you charged on Daddy's credit card a year ago during your trip to the casino, if you haven't already reimbursed him.

Otherwise, I'd go to the game.

Question: How big a fan is your girlfriend? (and are you planning to do something like propose in the stands or something?)

She is more of a Cleveland Browns fan. As for proposing, nah, marriage is too big of a commitment.

I question if your even a Packer fan. Have you ever been to Lambeau?

I make these statements because you stated they are CRAPPY tickets. A REAL fan would know there is no such thing.

And yes, it is worth it. Go!

I've been to Lambeau Field a dozen or so times. Although being inside it is beautiful, they need to get rid of those goddamn old fashioned bleachers that I can find on any high school field, and install single seats!!!

Much as they're really cool, I kinda have to agree with you. I had some guy sitting on my lap through the whole first half of the posters game. I notice he didn't sit on Tar's lap when I switched seats with him for the second half...

Those crappy bleacher seats are the reason there isn't a bad seat in the house.

Hard to answer without a picture of your girlfriend.

Hell if you're willing to scam Best Buy and take 10 inches off the TV you can buy an HDTV for that much.
