      • Jackson has looked good lately. I was hoping they took Grant out earlier just so he would be fresher next week. We do get an extra day though. That is a nice little advantage.

Look, I don't want to be a contrarian, however, Bigby can lay a hard hit, but he couldn't cover with a blanket and a 10 yard head start.

This offseason, if he can improve his coverage skills I'm there with you, if he can't, it's just a matter of time before he becomes a major liability.
I thought he played pretty decently in coverage today. He didn't make any plays but I don't think he was thrown on too often. That is a good thing. He definitely set the tone today.

          • That underhanded stumbling toss to Lee was vintage Brett Favre and why he is one of the all time best.

I've said this before, but I'll say it again. Some think Favre is the best QB ever. Most would probably say top 5 (that would include me). Some say he's overrated and not in the top 5 or even top 10. Regardless, I'm not sure there's been a more entertaining QB. It's why he'll go down as one of the most beloved players in league history (along with his personal tragedies and triumphs).

After Green Bay scored and was down 14-7, the crowd was the loudest I've ever heard it. Hasselbeck couldn't hear a thing; he was running back and forth screaming to his players because they could not hear him. It was nuts. The crowd was really into it; we were standing almost the whole game.

                  • That was one of the best games I ever remember Favre playing. His stats were not through the roof, but he didn't make a single mistake, didn't miss a throw and still managed to mix in a few "WOW, I can't believe he did that" plays. Truely GREAT game by Favre. As good as Bigby and Grant played for stretches, we had true HOF QB play today and that was the difference. A QB cannot play any better than he played IMO. I really can't say enough about how he played.

Then the way he went to Grant after the fumbles and told him that he had been there himself and just to keep his head up. Great leadership right there. The whole team just rallied behind Grant and wanted to make it OK for their teammate not blame their teammate, starting with FAvre.

Everything about this season is special. Whereever it goes from here, it's just icing on the cake. This has been a blast to watch.

I like kicking off in general - not always the team's choice.

In 07, Pack kicked off 11 times (65%) and were 10-1 in those contests. When receiving the ball to start the 2nd half, the Pack got 3 FGs, 4 TDs on those drives (along with three punts and an INT).

When the Packers received the ball to start the game, they were 4-2. To start the 2nd half on Defense, the Pack gave up one TD, one FG but did get 2 punts, 1 INT and a turnover on downs.

When we won the coin toss and elected to receive, I was already pissed (first game without smoking cigs in 4 years). Then to fumble and give a 2 yr TD and then fumble again (and give up another quick TD - 6 plays/50 yards), I thought the game was over....

Very glad I was soooo wrong.

That being said, I still prefer to Kickoff to start games.

                        • I love some of MM's quotes

"I thought we put our best foot forward". . . . NO SHIT, Mike, we sort of saw that.

"Atary played a physical game". . . . hahaha, no shit, Mike. He was a freaking killer out there.

It's just funny. You'd think he'd be like "Wow, I can't even believe we kicked their ass that bad"

Or "Atari lit them up. They clearly looked scared of him" or something a little more worthy of what acctually happened. His descriptions are just funny because they are so low key and what happened was so amazing.

                          • These interviews are priceless. I'm laughing hystarically.

Jennings is like "I'm pretty sure they sensed the momentum change too. We just methodically moved the ball at will"

Its' just funny to hear them describe an ass kicking. It's almost nice but what they are acctually saying is embarassing for Seattle.

Said it straight faced too. LOL. Just "We really kicked their ass and they knew it" but not in those words.
Here's Favre's -- it's not word for word... but has some decent stuff.

                              Comments....

Favre admitted that he was not optimistic after being down 14-0.... and said, "oh boy, this ain't too good... this is the exact game I didn't want to be in.... put us in a situation where we have to throw against their Defense... but all those things we handled well."

On the stumble/shuffle pass, "that looked bad. glad i got it completed. probably looked slow and not athletic. we were pressed for time. brought Lee in for protection. had to point to him for whom to block. stepped to left and it was covered well. spun out of it. not quite as nimble and tripped - maybe over my own feet.... i knew i had room to run or make a play.... i held on long enough and thinking 'just get your feet underneath you' - low and behold Lee is there. gave him the underhand pass - practice it all the time. no one was more excited than me in the building. continue the drive and not risk a bad kick. 9 of 10 times it would've fell incomplete or I would've fallen. it was a big play for a lot of reasons."

"Most snow I've ever played in. Hoping for that for 17 years.... I wanted to play where you couldn't see the field. It's amazing - that the first time it's snowed like that."

On the 4th and 1 challenge to M3, "I drifted to the right and dumped it to bubba. Field was iffy - saw where they spotted it. Standing there waiting and saw the replay.. couldn't see if his knee was down but I thought he had extended the ball further. just needed an inch. at that point in the game it was worth taking the shot."

On his comeback each year - feeling of being one game from Super Bowl, "My mentality is probably dif't than most guys in the lockerroom and myself 10 years ago. Now it's totally different.... these types of seasons are harder to come by than I previously thought. I am closer to retirement. Makes you appreciate it. gotta make the most of the opportunity. We could be 3-13 next year."

On coming back, "I never said I was coming back... not suprised by the reaction. Glad it wasn't a distraction."

Grant busts a 40+'er today, he's been close on several occasions already.
After nearly giving the season away - he better have a tremendous rest of the game.
He did get that 40+er - and he did have a tremendous recovery. Wonder how his career would've went if the Pack went on to lose this one....
