    Yep.

Antonio Freeman's over the shoulder catch with the caption "Green Bay All The Way"...as SI was predicting them to win the Super Bowl.
So was Brian Urlacher with the caption "Waitin' for Peyton"

But, hell, it's the Bears. They're destined to lose at everything anyway.

You have to remember...SI is trying to maximize their sales.

So, putting the Bears (and a 10M metropolis and legendary NFL team) on the cover over Indy (2M city without much of a fan base outside of IN) isn't really a big stretch.

I'm sure they realize that the Patriots are likely to be on the cover prior to the Super Bowl...and with the incredible success of the SOY issue with Favre, it was a no-brainer for them to put Favre on the cover rather than Eli or LT.

SI ain't dumb. Favre is on the cover for one reason...$$$$$$$$$.

Should point out that the Pack was on the cover at least 4 times during 1996/1997. Still won the Super Bowl.

Clearly, the SI cover was designed by Zig and 007...as the words "Love it" are right over Favre's crotch.

Don't belittle the SI cover jinx! It has been around since before video game jinxes, even if you believe PONG was killing someone's season in 1978.

I suggest sending your copies to me, I will be sure to dispose of them properly.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
