We recall that Sherman made a valiant, if clumsy, effort to create a team that could Brett to another series of Superbowls. Bless him for trying so earnestly.


I remember a special feeling in '96. After the team snapped a two game losing streak on the road at KC and Dallas they started to play so well you could literally feel a hope swelling up that logic and caution could not deny: this is the year! 1996 will really be the year!

Now it is different. This crazy young team arrived a year before anybody except KGB expected. This team is playing its way into something that most of us were too realistic to hope for. It's an anything is possible kind of year.
