  • Jack Ikegwuonu, CB of Wisconsin

I found this mock draft today, and it has Ikegwuonu being drafted by the Pack in the 2nd round. Then I found the following story. It's sad this had to happen so close to the draft. He lost alot of money because of this injury.
    From http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...onu/index.html

Jack Ikegwuonu, the talented cornerback from Wisconsin who was expected to be a first-day selection in April's draft, may have seen his 2008 season end before it even began.

Training in Florida for the Feb. 20th NFL combine, Ikegwuonu tore an anterior cruciate ligament and injured a medial collateral ligament and kneecap earlier this week. The injury occurred while he was pulling a weighted sled designed to improve his speed.

He is set to have reconstructive surgery in the next two weeks, and the seriousness of the injury means his rehabilitation will take at least six months, if not longer. That could keep him on the sidelines for the upcoming season.

A three-year starter, Ikegwuonu was named to several All-America teams as a freshman. The all-Big Ten cornerback came on late in his junior season, shutting down a number of the conference's better receivers after a slow start to the season. He finished the year with one interception and broke up a team-leading 15 passes, and declared for the draft on Jan. 7.

He possesses the size and speed NFL scouts want for the next level, leading to his projection as a second-round pick. Now he's likely to fall into the very late rounds.

I found some fresh new stuff on Ike.
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

I think Jack Ikegwuonu & Jessica Simpson would make a fetching couple.

I think that splains a lot about his fast start as a freshman, and his later problems with the law. Thanks for link.

                  I like Ike!

Do we have the beginnings of a fan club here?

Yeah, at first I thought that "Seventh rounder for Ike" thing was a misplaced political thread from the Garbage Can.

Ass, fart, and dick all in a 7 word span. Now that's efficiency.

I like this group, spirited. The Jack Ikegwuonu Fan Club is off to a good start.

Tricky question for all new recruits:
If Jack helped you on a horse, would you help Jack off a horse?

Trick question. Ike would never be on a horse. Black people fear horses more than water and dogs combined.
