I don't think we have the same understanding of what BPA is.

I consider BPA to be the player that Thompson and the scouting staff believe will have the greatest impact on the field. Since a long snapper or punter have very little impact (esspecially in relation to what you can find as a street free agent), they are mostly undraftable. QB would probably have the most value but my goal is to have the best football players (as it relates to winning games, not relative to who plays their position).

I don't think Rob Davis is eligible for the draft.

I vote to trade down and hopefully have two 2's and two 3's.

CB. We seen what happens when Chuck or Al goes down (Dallas game.) It'd be nice to have a solid young CB sitting behind Woodson and Harris for a year or two ready to replace one or the other.

We probably aren't going to get that kind of deal for a late first round pick.

The point value of our pick is 620. If a team 10 spots behind us wants to move up, they only have to make up 120 points of value to square the deal...which is equivalent to a mid-4th round pick.

Besides, teams do not like to move up into the last few picks of the 1st round because of the contract value of the last picks in the first round is considerably larger than the contract value of the first picks in the second round.

For instance...last year's final pick in the 1st round (Anthony Gonzalez) got a 5/10M deal with $5.3 guaranteed while the second pick in the 2nd round (Paul Posluszny) got a 4/$5M deal. So, a guy taken just 2 picks later has a deal worth roughly half as much money.

Thompson is morely likely to trade up this year than he is to trade down...at least in the first round.
My signature has NUDITY in it...whatcha gonna do?

If I were GM, forget Corey Williams, spend a little extra on Haynesworth. If not, grab Sean Rogers and save some bucks. After Haynes/Rogers signing, draft a CB in first rd. no matter what, second rd. BPA.

One thing I've learned from the NFL draft is expect the unexpected. Nothing surprises me in regards to the draft and I've seen much crazier stuff happen. If a team wants a player bad enough, they'll give a lot to get him, that might not be their 2 and 3 but you never know.

                    Long Snapper.

                    Oh, 1st round?

                    OK, lemme try again.

I think we need a QB.

Perhaps Tank voted to go the Mike Sherman method and pick a punter early.

                      They'll never expect it!

I wouldn't mind a DE at all. But I voted for CB.

OL. Tony Palmer may not play again and Moll is a big question mark. If Colledge is to be the LG, then we have no one to back up Clifton. If the Packers decide that Colledge isn't the LG, then that position needs to be addressed. Barbre has ability, but may yet be too raw to step in.

I think he would be a great fit for the Packers. He plays over the TE in the bears system, so that would be 51's position on the Packers. I would like the Packers to draft CB first round, because there will be a first round grade CB there when they draft.
I'm seeing that also. A CB.

I vote CB but I read an article that said with all the juniors entering the draft RB might be the deepest position. Grant is good but Wynn doesn't have breakaway speed and Jackson/Morency didn't show much. QB should be addressed, Favre is almost done and Arod might try free agency.
                            Thanks Ted!
