If I remember correctly it was one of those sacks that he didn't have time to do anything. I don't remember him just sitting in the pocket for open receivers. I don't know if he even finished his drop before the Giants D was on him.

I think the pocket did collapse rather quickly...but the QB should sense that the play is going to crap and try to get rid of the ball. In a defensive struggle, 3 points are crucial. Midway through the 3rd quarter...with only 10 points scored by both teams...both Belicheat and Brady should have been thinking make sure we get at least 3.

I'm not saying Brady is completely at fault...just that he wasn't exactly sharp either, and this play is an example of that.

I thought i remember reading somewhere that the kicker was dinged up a bit, that he hurt his leg in an earlier practice.

Never heard that, did hear that he was hitting them in the pregame practice.

I read an article on ESPN.com about the pregame kicking. They said he was making ones from 45-50 yards, but the ball wasn't coming off his foot well and they didn't look good.

That said, you still kick the field goal. If it's 4th and 5 or less, then sure, at that spot in the field, you'd go for it. But 4th and 13 is stupid. Everyone knows it's a pass. The defensive lineman can all-out pass rush and the DBs can just drop back.

My big question is why didn't they adjust on the Oline and the way they were blocking the Giants D? Pats were out played and BB was outcoached.
