  • DeAngelo Hall

Question. It is being bantered about down here that Atlanta may be willing to trade D Hall. This guy is a real pain in the a$$, but that is on a Falcons roster that has no player leadership. He may be able to be had for a second rounder.

Woodson and Harris are getting old and he can be a lockdown corner, especially when he has even an average Dline. With BF still at the helm, he may be able to provide the leadership he needs to keep his head on. Is this a guy worth a second and maybe now more Woodson to safety?

Hall would be a great pickup imo.

Hall is a CB that plays for the interest of his own stat line and not that of the team. He could care less if he gets burned a few times if it means that he gets to take one or two INTs to the house.

Wouldn't want him if it was even for a 4th rounder.

Plays on a bad team, look at what Moss did, people said the same about him. Playing with a winning organization seems to make certain "bad apples" much more team orientated and coachable.

Thought I read somewhere that Hall plays in zone and sits back and reads the QB's eyes, trying for the pick. If that is so, he's not a fit for this defense.

He plays more of a cushion coverage type of game... He would not work in the bump-run scheme...

Big time jerk. Would mess with with the team chemistry and complain if things weren't going that great. And unlike getting Moss it wouldn't only be for one year with him.

I say spend our second rounder on a good rookie corner instead of this guy.

I would take him only there must be one stipulation...he has to live with Kamp. Yup him or Hawk. If he steps out of line they are allowed to beat him. Then I would take him and only then.

Moss had undeniable talent, proven talent that he showed while he was on the Vikes. When DeAngelo got to ATL they made the NFC Championship that year. They were competitive the year after. Only then did the Falcons begin their downswing. This isn't the case of a bad team or bad coaching, it's Hall himself.

Hall is overrated. He was average, at best, last year. He was solid this year. I don't think he's as good as his hype.

Hall actually had a fine season with 70 tackles and 5 INT's in 2007. He was criticized for going into a tirade against Petrino in a game against Carolina, but it was eventually Petrino who quit on the team, not Hall. He's a brash player who would probably love the in-your-face style the Packers CB's employ. That said, chances of TT going after him are probably next to zero, unless there is a complete falling out between Hall and the Falcons.

I don't see Ted going after a ready made replacement for Harris or Woodson. I see him trying to acquire young guys to be groomed.

                        Though I could be wrong.

His College coach has even said he's a bad apple....and that was a winning team.

Va Tech players have had a bad go of it personality wise as of late. I know some in the NFL before the season started thought Hall was a Pro Bowl type player.
