I really hope that we go after Scott because we really need to improve the interior o-line. I would be happy if we signed him to a similar deal that Smiley just signed.

Rosevelt Colvin is an interesting player to me, depending on how much he thinks he is worth. He was Lance Briggs in Chicago before Lance Briggs. Losing him was considered a blow to the Bears, but then Briggs made people forget.
Colvin is a pretty effective pass rusher. He had 21 sacks in the two seasons before leaving Chicago, and has had seasons of 8.5 and 7.0 with the Patriots when he was healthy. If he could be gotten for a reasonable price he would fill a weakness.

Not a bad idea, but with his age and recent injury history I don't know if he would be all that effective. Wouldn't hurt to bring him though.Originally posted by PatlerRosevelt Colvin is an interesting player to me, depending on how much he thinks he is worth. I don't remember what his injury was this year, but he was available for all games in '04 '05 and '06, although early in '04 he was still slowed by his injury from '03. He's just 30, but seems like he should be older. If he doesn't demand a huge contract, I think he could help.Originally posted by PaCkFan_n_MDNot a bad idea, but with his age and recent injury history I don't know if he would be all that effective. Here's a solid deal. Mitchell was good for the Giants last year, and the Bills got him for relatively cheap.
Not sure about this one. Porter certainly has talent, but he hasn't played up to it. Jacksonville did need a WR though.Bills reach deal with LB Mitchell
Linebacker Kawika Mitchell has reached an agreement with the Buffalo Bills on a five-year, $17.5 million contract that includes $5 million worth of guaranteed money.
The five-year veteran started all 16 games for the Giants last season after being the team's only notable free-agent addition a year ago. He finished with 87 tackles, 3½ sacks and one interception in the regular season. He added two sacks in four playoff games, including one in the Giants' Super Bowl win over New England.
Jaguars sign WR Porter
The Jaguars bolstered their receiving corps on Friday as they signed former Raiders wide receiver Jerry Porter to a six-year, $30 million deal that includes $10 million worth of guaranteed money."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

"Although he can be exposed" ha ha.....Originally posted by HarveyWallbangersWorst FA report ever. I know I could do a better job.
He has Marquand Manuel listed as the 28th best S, but he doesn't have Gibril Wilson listed (and ahead of guys like Jake Scott). Just too funny.
In case he missed it, Manuel was cut by Green Bay and then was a backup in Carolina. Plus, he sucks.28. S Marquand Manuel, Panthers: Very smart and a solid starter, although he can be exposed.C.H.U.D.
