  • Guess which Packer this is....?

Every now and then I run across info about players that really shows how great some of these guys were as high school athletes. Guess which Packer this is:

    - A four-year letter winner, he lined up at defensive end, linebacker, fullback, punter and kicker

    - As a senior had 149 tackles (62 solo), two sacks, four interceptions, seven passes defensed, six forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one blocked kick

    - As a fullback, rushed for 1,473 yards on 299 career carries

    - Lettered four years in basketball as a forward and center, earning all-state and all-region recognition three times

    - Also earned four letters in both baseball and track; he led his baseball team in home runs as a junior and senior and placed second in the shot put at the state championship track meet as a senior.

Judging the current circumstances, it's probably Corey Williams.

Logical of who he would be looking up. I vote Corey myself. (mostly deduction, but I also googled the stats)

Gilbert Brown's high school accomplishments were better.

Reminds me of Darin Erstad. Erstud was first team all-state in hockey and football. In track he was a two-time state champion hurdler. He was an All-Big 12 punter on the national championship Cornhuskers football team. He likely could have punted in the NFL if he concentrated on that. He was also the #1 overall pick in the baseball draft.
"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

                            Willams running the ball *shudder*

We had a punter who was also a part time fullback. Allowed the coverage team to get by the blockers as they kept an eye on him to make damn sure he kicked it!!!
