I disagree.

The future only revolves around 2008 as far as the NFL is concerned. Sure, Thompson has to look forward in terms of player development and the salary cap...but the Packers already had a capable 1st round pick replacement for Favre and no concerns regarding the cap.

There is no doubt that the Green Bay Packers have much less of a chance at winning a Super Bowl in 2008 without Favre...so to say they are glad he is gone is ridiculous.

I read that article as well. Just feeding the conspiracyy. Brett lead the team to the NFC Championship game, why would anyone want to push him out the door if he still wanted to play. I would think it made TT's and MM's job easier having the QB position adeptly manned.
