  • Random Interesting Draft Prospects

Curtis Lofton LB. They say he's an extremely instinctive, natural football player. I think he'd be a great addition to our defense.

Lawrence Jackson DE. He's been a very productive DE for USC. He started the year a little under the radar because a down year last year while taking on double blockers in a 3-4, but bounced back this year as a traditional 4-3 DE, racking up another 10.5 sacks. He's 6'4", 270 lbs and runs a 4.78 which is comparable to a guy like Chris Long and this guy has been more consistant and productive throughout his college career. I think he might be a good player flying under the radar.

Here's an interesting one I stumbled across:

    I can't run no more
    With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
    Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
    A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

Lawrence Jackson does sound intriguing and looks like someone TT might draft. I would take him over Chris Long in the second round, mainly because the odds of a high R1 pick succeeding are not good.

On a side note, I just went to a Cowboy forum and asked them about Curtis Lofton. They say he's an absolute stud and will be a steal for any team that takes him after a top 15 picks. This was from a guy that watches every Sooner game so take it for what it's worth. The same guy said Reggie Smith had a hard time covering WR's without cushion and that he would have to play zone or safety to be successfull on the next level.
