    When did McGuire retire?

    On April 21, 1991: The Seattke Seahawks, desperate for a quarterback, chose San Diego State's Dan McGwire with the draft's 16th pick -

    The selection of McGwire was 17 picks before the Atlanta Falcons selected Southern Mississippi's Brett Favre.

    McGwire's career was nowhere near as illustrious as Brett Favre's.

      Big Dan's claim to fame? At 6'8", Dan McGwire is the tallest quarterback to have ever played in the NFL.
