  • June 1st approching...

June 1st is approching and the time where Cuts are made. Does anyone know of any players the Packers could pick up after June 1st?

i wud imagine that the packers will most likely pick up a kicker, punter, and/or OL/DL for depth as there are alrdy plenty of position battles going around.

There's going to be VERY little available.

With this year's increase in the salary cap, few teams are in a situation where they need to cut veterans to get under the cap. Therefore, don't expect much to happen.

I don't like the fact they increased the cap by as much as they did. They bailed out too many teams that were cashed strapped because of too many high priced signings that flopped out. If you were a team that managed the cap effectively they you basically got screwed, I imagine it'll be the same process again when they have to renew the CBA in 2012 or whatever. The cap is becoming a more and more non existant it seems.

The high salary cap makes the loss of outstanding players like Wahle and Walker more painful. Coulda shoulda kept both.

We did kind of get screwed with the cap increase this year. Poor timing/management is all, but still, we finally get cap space and no one worth a darn to spend it on.
