Whenever the salary cap bumps up, the players who signed contracts a couple years ago kinda get screwed. Well, at least they feel underpayed.

Donald Driver would have held-out if Thompson hadn't given him that huge raise.

I don't think Harris will hold out, he's a good player, but the Packers could go with Carrol & Hawkins. Harris is up there in age.

Well, this is Driver's last contract, it's now or never. He could easily be done in a couple years. He was fortunate that a deal got worked out behind the scenes. I don't think he would have played the next two years at low pay, then fade off into the sunset.

I think the GM should only make adjustments for guys who are very valuable and substantially underpaid. Driver & Walker, for instance.
