    He shows to be a 3-4 DE/OLB

Not real big but fast around the edge. Could end up being a KGB type.

thats the problem, we already have a kgb, and honestly, he didn't work out

too much of a liability against the run to be a full-time DE

and i'm not really interested in drafting a guy with our first pick that will only ever end up being that part time player

KGB was quite effective for a period of time. Once he got the big contract, maybe expectations grew to the point where he couldn't live up to them. For the money, people expected an every down guy perhaps. I don't know if Groves will be a situational guy but he looks like a pretty good prospect to me. The heart thing is kind of a downer though.

edit: The dude has 74 career sacks (KGB), I wouldn't minimize that.

I'm on the trade-down bandwagon for today.

he was effective against the pass, and still is with his one move

but it was no secret to other teams, if you wanted to move the ball, you run at kgb

yeah, the heart thing is very scary. it seems like you have more and more you guys dying from heart problems these days. and this is a guy that you know already has a problem

I just saw on ESPN that our key additions are "none", but last year our key additions were "Frank Walker". Is Brandon Chillar somehow less key than Frank Walker?

Yea, which is why the guy probably should only be out there on 2nd and 3rd down. Anyway, I'm guessing Groves goes in round 2.

a name i'll throw out as a possible DE selection in the middle rounds is eric foster, from rutgers

he's short, only 6'1. but he's got those traits TT looks for

heres what draft ace says about him

A nasty player with a motor that never quits. Decent overall athleticism. A true team leader on and off the field. Top intangibles. Adequate speed. Experience at defensive end and tackle. Tremendous strength.

Mort just said that he's heard the Packers' name involved in the Shockey trade talks.

                    1. This is the first I've heard of this.
                    2. I want no part of that assclown.

i really do think he might be the best cb in this draft

Ok, with this news of Chris Long being the #2 pick that almost guarantees Dorsey at #3 to the Falcons. Now it'll be interesting to see where Matt Ryan goes. I think he'll fall to the Ravens, but who knows.

The sad thing is that it won't make a difference. The Dolphins will probably take all 10 minutes and so will the Rams.
