Several scouts compared him to Kampman. He's the black Aaron Kampman.

When Aaron Kampman was drafted, no one thought he would be either!

As the only guy Ted Thompson has ever traded up in a draft to get he is almost assured of making the team.

Like most rookies he will take a couple of years to get up to speed.

Hunter won't like it and Montgomery has to be worried.

I hope Ted can trade some players. There are some good one who will be cut.

He was a steal at that stage of the draft, he might be able to beat out Montgomery for a back up spot, he has potential.

                Thanks Ted!

Definatley will push Hunter and Montgomery. Hunter needs to show some moves.

Thompson is a little undersize, but he's tall and looks like he could add about 20 pounds. Then, you are talking about a 6'5", 280lb DE that has some athletic ability.

He looks like a nice athlete. NFL.com has combine footage of him.

At least Hunter makes plays on special teams. I'd keep him over Montgomery based on what I've seen of them so far.

Montgomery looked good as a rookie, but hasn't progressed. I think Thompson will replace him. As DonHutson said, ST will likely keep Hunter her for another year.

                          WOW

i watched talib at the combine do everything, and i have to say that thompson looka a lot better running those coverage/footwork drills

very impressive for a big guy

if he adds 10 pounds i think he could be a beast. and he for sure as the room to add some weight. the guy looks cut

I agree on that. Montgomery is just a player, and doesn't have the ST value that Hunter has. Thompson has the potential to be a lot more than what Montgomery is.
