If he was hurt before, he's on the PUP list now.
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

              Badgerinmaine,

On your school's website, I loved the headline "Healthy Beaver 5K" advertised.

There is nothing more appealing in life than a "Healthy Beaver!"

It's nice to know that even a Ducks fan appreciates the need for healthy Beavers.

I've watched some video. I'm rooting for the guy, but I just don't see it. He's a hell of an athlete, but this is pro football. When a guy is 5'7" and 191 and played DIII, he has to have jaw dropping skills. He's just not quite there. Hopefully, he's good enough to bring to camp, but only if he deserves it. That would be a great achievement.

Reminds me when NDSU had a hometown, DII All-American RB named Tony Satter. This was the late 80s when NDSU was winning a DII championship every other year. I think he got drafted or signed by the Giants, and I thought he had a chance to make an NFL roster. He was in training camps, but I don't think he ever made an NFL roster.

Funny. I remember this run in the 1990 DII Championship Game. I think it was against Portland State. Gotta love youtube.
"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

I may be on his wagon, but honestly I don't think he's good enough either

I hope he's good enough to sign a contract with GB and then let the cards fall as they may

PACK EXPECTED TO SIGN FOUR OF THE !( TRYOUT PLAYERS............

McCarthy said he "would love" to seen Wisconsin-Whitewater RB Justin Beaver be one of those players "because he's been impressive." McCarthy said Beaver was one of the players he and the front office would discuss this evening.

                              From that conversation as well:

                              Per MM

"(Hodge) went out to Arizona and did some rehab before he came back to the offseason program," McCarthy said. "He really looks good."

It sounds like Mike McCarthy is going to make a push to keep Justin Beaver, the diminutive running back from the University of Wis.-Whitewater.

The Green Bay Packers coach on Sunday said no decisions have been made on the 19 players the team had in this weekend for tryouts, but it likely will sign four of them to the 80-man offseason roster.

The 5-foot-7 Beaver, who won the Division III equivalent of the Heisman Trophy, got plenty of work during the weekend rookie orientation camp and opened some eyes.

"I'll tell you what, he's been very impressive," McCarthy said. "He's done a very nice job. He plays with a lot of energy. He's very quick (and) explosive. Does he have a shot? That's something we'll discuss when we get upstairs, but I would love for him to have an opportunity, because he's been very impressive."

The Packers didn't draft a running back and signed only one undrafted rookie back — Kregg Lumpkin of Georgia. They had one other running back in for a tryout — Lance Ball of Maryland.

"I definitely believe in myself, and a big reason for that is we ran the same offense in college," Beaver said. "We ran the zone (rushing) offense in college, and I can use what I learned in college."

A decision on which players will be offered contracts could come in the next day or two.

"I spent some time with the personnel department just going through a number of guys," McCarthy said. "(Director of pro personnel) Reggie McKenzie is meeting with the tryout players right now. We'll make some decisions. We're looking to bring back approximately four of them."
