The first 2 years I was very unimpressed with Rodgers. I kept posing the question heir apparent or apparent error. I went on about how drafting a guard with that pick would have changed the 2005 season for the better.

Last year though in the preseason I was impressed. I remember a post game interview where he discussed his reaction when things went wrong during the game. Francies ran the wrong route and in that moment remembered some Brett Favre advice and went elsewhere with the ball for a successful play.

He reacts better on the field and his 2 minute game has gone from miserable to adequate.

Now his lessons will be on the field. If he stays uninjured the end of the season will be more impressive than the begining as he continues to improve by learning from his mistakes.

The article has one flaw in that fantsy leagues all count points a bit differently. Comparing points is pointless.

The assumption of 75% of the numbers of Brett Favre is conservative yet they are good numbers.

I think Aaron Rodgers will have enough success that you will see the folks at ESPN making comments about how the 49'ers should have taken him over Alex Smith and how teams like the Vikings selecting Troy Williamson and Erasmus James instead of Rodgers really screwed up.

Only injury and Rodgers himself can screw up having a successful season.

        My over/under is 8 games...

Slow start in games 1-4, shows modest improvement in games 5-7... then it's his home away from home (IR)

8 games huh? Very optimistic there Wist.

I say if he last that long he makes it through the whole season. I think the vikings DL in week 1 will give us an idea of how ARod will handle getting hit.

The coaching staff should instill in Rodgers that he has several talented teammates on both sides of the ball and that protecting the ball and executing simple throws will be enough to win plenty of games.
Not so sure about that. It damn sure wouldn't have been good enough to win 13 games last year. There will be Sundays that Rodgers has to put everything on his shoulders like Favre had to do many times. Those are the games I will be most interested in.

Brett was great last year. Mostly because McCarthy reined him in. It did lead to about 11 of those 13 victories.

IF Aarron Rodgers says healthy and plays all 16 games. He should be able to continue where Favre left off. A solid playoff contender team in 09. It is safe tol say that the pieces are all there for Rodgers to succeed. Should be interesting to watch him this season. I like the draft choice of Brian Brohm. Because he was by far the most NFL ready QB in 2008 draft class. If sinething happens to AROD then Brohm will step in. Lets hope that doesn't happen. Anything can happen and usally does.

I do not post much, and when I do it's usually to say that I think AROD is a big puss. I still do not think he will go the whole season without injury. But I do think he will make past my origional prediction of four games. However I do not expect him to continue where Favre left off,not right away. Rodgers will not disapoint me because I have lowr expectations of him. He is replacing one of the best QB's of all time, that has to be a hell of a lot of pressure.
