I agree with the guy from Bountiful about Rodgers and Davenport - not locks.

HH why would Manning be a lock? I haven't seen that much about him.

This is the first time I've seen lists that leave Martin off. I like that.

Good ! That is what I wanted to generate on this early thread RE: the 53 -man Roster. To spring a debate on who y'all believe deserves to make OUR team and who is about history.

We are getting debate on Vet's like S Mark Roman and FB William Henderson. What does LBer Roy Manning really have? Same for S Marviel Underwood.

I don't want to see any stroking on OUR Team, only the best 53 Man the Coach's and TT can assemble. The reality of this, is the answers will not come till we are in TC and play those Exibition Games, but this sort of thread, will at least give us the heads up we need to watch the various battles/competitions at each position.

Tony Moll is a project that I think Ted Thompson reached on. I think Thompson could have taken him in the seventh round or even in free agency.

Moll will make the roster, but he will most likely be inactive for all the ball games like White and Coston. Barry's injury basically gave him a roster spot.

Moll is really small for an offensive tackle, and he has a really weak skill set. Why we was drafted I still don't know, but maybe he is a quick study and in a year or two he can be a solid back up, but right now he really can't even be counted on for that.

Did you listen to all the audio and video feeds after the draft? CC asked Thompson who he thought was a raw yet really talented prospect out of this class. Thompson said Moll would fit that category.

Moll tried to gain weight really fast so he could get drafted, so he looks pudgy. He played TE in college so he never tried to get big. He played one year at tackle EVER and accordign to Thompson he was a very quick learner.

He's a project much like Hawkins, but he's one of those guys that you just take a flyer on late because the reward is really high and so is the risk.

Thompson could say, "Rat meat might taste like pumpkin pie."

I wouldn't know because I would never eat the filthy motherfuckers.

I am not saying Moll isn't going to pan out, I am just saying he offers very little to the Packers in 2006 and probably even in 2007.

TT drafted Moll cause of his super cool hairdo

TT wanted to be reminded of his childhood days as a greaser

                Thanks.

Saw a pic of him, he doesn't seem to have an NFL body.

Some are saying Spitz might play, think he could make it?

If we don't get 2 or 3 kids to surprise with ability, we'll be lucky to make

Spitz is going to be ok. Some thought before the draft that he might not be good enough athletically to be a career starter. I disagree. The kid has a nasty demeanor on the field. The guy was a staple of the Louiville offensive line for years and I think he will contribute this year, but most likely I don't see him starting unless Coston or Wells really struggle.

He is a smart football player, and I think if he picks up the schemes before guys like Coston and even Wells or White don't be shocked to see him on the field with the offense when the Bears roll into town.

What worries me about the Packers offensive line is Wells is the most veteran interior offensive lineman. He is in his third year, Coston is in his second along with White, and Spitz and Colledge are rookies. I think their all going to be better than what we had last year, but there are going to be mistakes.

Yeah, but maybe Moll has a lot of personality, personality goes a long way

                    Vincent: Want some bacon?
Jules: No man, I don't eat pork.
                    Vincent: Are you Jewish?
Jules: Nah, I ain't Jewish, I just don't dig on swine, that's all.
                    Vincent: Why not?
Jules: Pigs are filthy animals. I don't eat filthy animals.
Vincent: Bacon tastes gooood. Pork chops taste gooood.
Jules: Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy motherfucker. Pigs sleep and root in shit. That's a filthy animal. I ain't eat nothin' that ain't got enough sense enough to disregard its own faeces.
Vincent: How about a dog? Dogs eats its own feces.
Jules: I don't eat dog either.
Vincent: Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal?
Jules: I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
Vincent: Ah, so by that rationale, if a pig had a better personality, he would cease to be a filthy animal. Is that true?
Jules: Well we'd have to be talkin' about one charmin' motherfuckin' pig. I mean he'd have to be ten times more charmin' than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I'm sayin'?

The path of the righteous Packer man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the Bears and the tyranny of Vikings. Blessed is he, who in the name of the Packers and Victory, shepherds his teammates through the valley of Lambeau Field, for he is truly his teammates keeper and the winner of NFL Championships. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my Packers. And you will know my name is Lombardi when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

White should be considered a second year man if Coston is.

I would feel better if we had a veteran somewhere in the cupboard.

                      Perhaps Lucier will surprise.

C Wayne Lucier started in 20 games with the NY Giants in 2003-04 but nothing (ZERO) on him for 2005.

                        Anyone . . . know his status in 2005?
