  • Could this be less about ARod and more about Brohm?

McCarthy seems pretty high on the guy. Could they be thinking they dont want him twice removed from the starting job? Could we be that stacked at QB?

Yeah, I bet we could get a 1st and a conditional additional draft choice for ARod.

          I hope so.

I'd say this is 80% about Rodgers being ready right now and them being ready to move forward and 20% about having Brohm and knowing they have another good bet if Rodgers isn't what they think he is or gets injured.

I think it has little to do with Brohm. Most reports have suggested that Brohm struggled in mini-camp. Sure, he's probably ahead of most QBs as far as the system goes, but his actual play on the field seems inconsistent, at best.

I believe we'd get for Rodgers exactly what the Falcons got for Schaub when they sent him to Houston. 2nd round pick for a promising but largely un-proven QB.

FYI: I just hate how this has played out. Maybe one of my fellow Rats can comment, "Well, no shit, Sherlock."

Agreed. The guy hasn't even put on pads yet.

This is nothing more than TT showing his huge ego.
Rogers was his very first draft pick as GM. He feels he can finally show everyone that he indeed knew what he was doing by drafting a 1st round QB when the Packers needed help in many other areas

agreed, Rodgers trade value isn't more than Schaubs

About Brohm? No way. Guy has struggled in OTA's. He might be good, might not, nobody knows.

It's about Favre's indecisiveness, Rodgers being ready, and the team deciding to move forward: in that order.
