  • Brian Brohm signed

The official source for NFL news, video highlights, fantasy football, game-day coverage, schedules, stats, scores and more.

Brian Brohm signed to 4 years. YES! I'm glad to get him under contract. Watching the video...which Packer is it driving up in the huge green truck? Haha. Donald Driver's sporting a big Hummer SUV. Guess gas isn't an option for him, huh?

Yeah, I would think with the money Donald makes that gas is but a small expense.

4 years? Isn't that kind of short for a rookie contract?

Thanks for the update. It's good to know the Packer staff can get business done despite the uproar.

I'm honestly more worried over Grant's contract status than anything though. Last I heard, he was still in New York and they were waiting for something from the League Office. I really hope NFL bureaucracy doesn't take too long. We need Grant in practice a lot more than we need Brett out of it.

4 years is what I've been seeing here lately for most rookies.

With the owners opting out of the collective bargaining agreement after 2009, I think many rookies are opting for shorter contracts.

didn't the max contract length change when they voted not to extend the CBA? Or was it just the length of the contract the signing bonus can be spread over?

Even if it is the second, I think that would effectively limit how many years can be offered.

Now the only question is whether he'll be second or third string this year...

Cool kid. Second coming of Favre? Acts like it...just hope he plays that way in the big leagues.

You're starting to remind me of Retail Guy when everything was bad in his world because his guy got fired.

Just a pre-warning to think ahead because you're on path to look like a big idiot in a couple months.
