Brett Favre Traded to Tampa Bay
    BREAKING NEWS

(Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 3:52 PM, CT) The news media will soon be reporting that Brett Favre has been traded to Tampa Bay according to an exclusive SaveBrett.net source close to Favre.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is currently crediting SaveBrett.net with breaking the story worldwide that the deal is all but done. We expect this news to be the topic of Mike McCarthy's press conference in under an hour. The mood is "very down and gloomy" at training camp according to Adam Chartier of SaveBrett.net who is on-site.

As a courtesy to fellow Favre supporters we informed the Rolfson brothers of BringBackBrettFavre.com with the news in-person, as well as the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and Green Bay Press Gazette by phone.

It's a sad day in Packer Nation if true. Yes we all saw it coming and knew it had to happen, but Brett has meant so much to this team for so long and it's a sad day to see him play for someone else. Thank God it isn't the Queens.

If this is true it will upset a lot people, but really, I think the team and Favre got the point were this was the only logical solution.
            GO PACK!!!!

This is probably best for all involved, if it turns out to be true. Lets face it, Favre wasn't going to be the starter this year anyway. This keeps him out of the division, one that is still very much winnable for the Green Bay Packers. It gives Favre an opportunity to play again on a team that could very well win it's division too.

I've sided with TT/M3 for most of this but still wished against the odds that it would be an open competition to field the best team this year. Due to all the dramatic reason this whole issue is about I understand the parting of ways but man does it flat out suck in my opinion that Brett won't leave the game wearing Green and Gold.

Here's what JSO says about it:

UPDATE: Indeed, the savebrett.net website, citing a source close to Favre, said it in fact the two sides have already agreed. This is the same website that has fought hard for Favre's return to the team as the starter, and indeed was the first site to report last Friday that Favre was not considering the $20 million dollar deal to sit but would instead make his way back to Green Bay. Anyway, here's the link:

                    http://savebrett.net/home/brett-favr...tampa-bay.html
So, in the first 4 games, we'll be playing the Vikings, the Lions, the Cowboys, and the Favres...

                    Good luck Aaron.
