  • So the Jets fans are jumping for joy? Something tells me Brett is gonna rue the day he agreed to report to the Jets' camp. This honeymoon will be over once Brett throws an interception. Before you all flame me for this remember that ALL QBs throw interceptions. But you all know how the NY media and fans will react if Brett tries to throw into a small window at the worst possible time. We've seen him do that on more than one occasion. And he is more prone to do this when he has no running game (like he did in last season's NFC Championship game) and feels he has to do SOMETHING to get the victory. So unless the Jets can run the ball and that defense of theirs improves over last year it will be along year for Mr. Favre.

Seriously, bad grammar is what got Dizzy Dean fired.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

They got the best RB the Bears have had since Sweetness in a trade last year. Then they upgraded thier offensive line with perhaps the biggest name in FA this year. Thier running game will be fine, especially now with a threat at QB to throw the ball 60 yards downfield.

Anderson was a better back than Thomas, not by much though
