It's music to leave the room and go take a piss to. Springsteen's as good as anything else.

Englebert Humperdinck (if he's still humping).
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

It's too bad Cousin Fuzzy passed away: "His format injected homey humor into a show spiced with well-known melodies, keeping the audience clamoring for more."

How about Red Hot Chili Peppers wearing a sock?http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA280_.jpg
              I can't run no more
              With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
              Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
              A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

they haven't done that in years. Not since the touring with fishbone days.

No one wants to see their grey pubes.

I could get into that. And if the peppers are gonna wear socks, they need to find razors.

First off, I almost choked on my ice cream reading that one. Great stuff there Leaper.

Bruce is way better than that Tom Petty disaster last year. He'll actually keep the crowd awake and not need the words to his songs shown on a big screen so the crowd can follow along.

Feel sorry for those who didn't like Prince. That man is one of the best guitarists you'll see.

As for the under 60 non-cock waving performers, I'd be willing to bet that Daughtry is going to play the halftime show in the next year or two.
All hail the Ruler of the Meadow!

Agreed. I hope the Boss plays his old stuff: Badlands, Born To Run, Rosalita, Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out, etc.

I liked Prince. Better than most of the performers.

I suspect it will be a somber set filled with ruminations from Nebraska.

That was the only halftime show I turned off.

Wow. Wasn't expecting to hear that from a musician. Even if you don't like his music, I thought his band was tight as hell.
