  • Official Packers vs. 49ers Game Thread

Does anybody know if this game will be available to watch anywhere other than "on local broadcast TV in Wisconsin" (since I don't live there) or "the NFL Network" (since I don't get it)? I have NFL fieldpass, but it's nice to actually watch the games, particularly the preseason games.

McCarthy says that the following guys will almost certainly be out: WR Brett Swain (quad contusion), RB Ryan Grant (hamstring), S Charlie Peprah (hamstring), LB A.J. Hawk (chest), LB Desmond Bishop (Achilles), OT Orrin Thompson (ankle), DT Ryan Pickett (hamstring), TE Tory Humphrey (Achilles), WR Greg Jennings (knee), DT Justin Harrell (back) and DE Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (knee).

Ruvell Martin will likely be a game-time decision.

What I'm looking for: If Josh Sitton wants to start, he's going to need to play better than he did against the Bengals. I want to see the backup DTs step up. The #3 RB battle, I'd like to see more of Lumpkin, Morencey, and Wynn (not Herron since he's pretty much a known commodity). Bishop v. Hodge for the backup MLB spot, Hodge made quite the statement with Bishop out in the last preseason game, let's see how Bishop answers. I'd also like to see Jordy get the ball more, but that might require Brohm to behave as though he has some earthly idea how to play QB; maybe Flynn can get him the ball.

Anyway, go Packers. Let's hope Aaron makes the 49ers wish they had made a different pick #1 overall in 2005.

Not all of us have the privilege of local WI TV.

        So, go, and find.

yep I need a stream too, unless I want to jump across the river and watch it at mom and dad's house. Only prob is they don't have NFL Network and I do. I want to watch Favre play a bit too.

Yeah but then it's old news! I just can't DVR sports. Just can't do it. That's something I need to see live or not at all.

Has anyone used the SopCast site. I'm looking at it but would be a bit more comfortable about signing up if someone has tried it and has an opinion on it..Says its 14.95 for a year of access...

I googled it and someone on another forum said channelsurfing.net..

I never have to stream games living in Green Bay so I don't know if it works or not..Don't kill the messenger..

There was a link to the Packers 49ers game on that site, and I clicked on it and a little player window came up, but it said I had to install some TVU component and I didn't..So who knows? But I'd give it a try anyways.

It looks like the channelsurfing.net site will work. You can click on the link way down the page to test. I had to install an activex control in order for it to work. Looks pretty good.

Whoever brought up channelsurfing.net, thank you. I remembered I used that site back in the NBA season to watch the Bucks and sometimes to watch some Badger games. It does work, if the game is being aired.

Odd player. Whenever I try to zoom the feed, it drops it to the bottom right of the browser. Still...thanks for the heads up BF4
