  • Orton's the Starter in Chicago

    PER ESPN.....

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Kyle Orton will start as the Chicago Bears opening day quarterback -- beating Rex Grossman in a competition that lasted through training camp and two preseason games.

Orton started 15 games in 2005 and three last season. He's completed 233-of-448 passes for more than 2,300 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Grossman quarterbacked the Bears to the Super Bowl two seasons ago but has been criticized for turning over the football. He has 30 career starts, with 31 TD passes and 33 interceptions.

KGB is happy. He is hoping for a piece of Orton this year. He's already had his way with Rexy.
