If we slow the run, kill them with the passing game and play good ST's it will be a blow out like last year. I dont't hink that's going to happen. I have more confidence in our pass game lighting them up and our ST's shutting them down than I do slowing AP in week 1 when he's healthy and they will use him over and over and over to prove a point to their hated NFCN rival.

      Quality analysis everyone.

However, I haven't seen anything on this during this thread. We do know that the Vikings are without three key guys for this game.

Mount McKinnie is out from the recently announced suspension. This should make it easier to not only rush the passer but help slow down the running game.

Maddieu Williams is out for the first two games. They were counting on him to match up with players like James Jones and help contain the spread offenses that have worked well against them. This will certainly help not only the passing game but also the running game.

The 3rd player is their special teams ace and MVP. I can't remember his name but he tore an ACL during the first preseason game and will be out all year. While not something you'd see on TV, this will be a blow to their team. Everyone in Winter Park was in the dumps after this happened.

They've lost an important piece of each part of the triangle and I think that bodes well for our green and gold team as long as Hawk, Pickett, and Grant are able to play.

No, and we have our own injuries to worry about.

I believe his name is Heath Farwell. That was a big blow to their ST and LB depth.

I've been pimping the ST's all year, but I'm really looking forward to that being the difference in the game.

If the Packers win I think we're going to be talking about two things:

              1. Aaron Rodgers and his many dynamic weapons putting on an absolute show

              2. Beat you down ST's

If the Packers lose I think we're going to be talking about 2 things:

              1. Our inablity to stop the run

              2. Our inability to run

i don't like it that the packers & vikes open the season with such a critical game. I'd rather play division games a little later in the season when the teams have settled down and the games are more indicative of team strength.

Hell no. I love it. The Vikings are going to come out pissed off and ready to rumble. They're strong in the middle of that defense and on that line, but the Packers have a whole bunch of physical kids that want nothing more than to play the hard nosed football they've been playing their whole lives on the biggest stage. This is a great game. I'm as excited about this opener as I've ever been.
