It has to do with the fact I have received several PMs from long and short time posters who are sickened by this. They have made the forum what it is and dont want to see the place go in the toilet. All that JH was asked was to let up. He said he would, he lied.

If it takes me looking like a bad guy or jerk for cutting off dead weight then so be it. I will sacrifice my reputation for the good of the forum any day.

Show me where I instigated any of the name calling and fighting that happened before I even showed up. I made a couple posts, none of which were personal insults at anyone and now I'm banned for infighting in the name of the good of the forum. Yeah right. You say you're not inflammatory, but note that no one in the thread had said anything disrespectful to anyone when you made your post about "Favre lovers" attacking "Favre realists." Come on now. That defines incendiary.

All this fighting going on and people refuse to believe that it's costing contributing members of the forum, but let me ask you guys this? When was the last time any of you saw Patler? One of our most respectful and most knowledgeable posters and I haven't seen him since he was attacked by a poster over some insignificant point that I don't even recall.

Don't give me bullshit about thick skin. This has never been a forum that requires thick skin to post and I don't expect it should start to be that way now. We've always prided ourselves on the great discussions we have here, but all this BS is overshadowing the best parts of this forum.

JH, as a friend, listen to what I have to say. I have agreed with you on most things football from the day I got on rats. You are a good poster when it comes to opinions and ideas..BUT, you and cpk imo have gotten a little carried away in telling the "favre apologists" what you really think. I'm not saying you started it, or that it is only your fault, but you have crossed the line of discussion a few times. I agree with your opinions on it, but again, no need to let too much emotion into it.

Now I'm not privy to all the PM's mad gets and I wouldn't tell him how to run his forum...he put the sweat and effort into making it, not me. I wouldn't be in favor of banning anyone, ignoring, yes, but not banning. But again, his forum and I respect his rules. I do think that just as many people on the other side have been just as annoying as you and cpk have, even more so imo, and I also don't ahve a clue if mad cracked down on them at all, not my business...or yours.

I think if I were you I would ignore the favre threads and continue to post opinions on practice squad or OL or anything else...I value your opinion. You will never convince the other side on favre any more than they will convince you. Who cares, in life we disagree sometimes and move on. Anyway, take a breather, drink some cold water, go for a run, whatever, and come back and be the same guy I enjoyed posting with before all the BF BS. I hope this coming from someone who usually agrees with you and enjoys your posts can be of value. Hope to see you around, no emotion involved.
