Okay, this may be a weird way of thinking of it, but...wouldn't it ease some pressure on Rodgers if Favre does NOT have a brilliant couple of games out of the gate? I'd also think it was kinda funny if Chad Pennington put up big numbers against the team that let him go.
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

          amen

i'm thinking 3-4 sacks, couple of interceptions, 25% completion rating

favre will pack up and go back to MS to ride his tractor

my opinion (and only that) is that TT and M3 made the right decision, but there is a good chance rodgers will stumble this year, and the fickle fans may be all over them...better for everyone if favre stumbles

also, i was a huge favre fan while he was here (although i don't think he was a great QB when it mattered), but i think he showed a lot of his true colors this offseason, thus i am rooting for him to fail

I'm leaning towards that as well. Not a tremendous 10 TD, 20 INT fail. Just not numbers that are like "OMG WHY DID TED TRADE HIM!"

Heat index for the game at 97 degrees. Yikes. That's Florida for you.

And nothing is lamer than football being played on field where a baseball diamond is present.

And we get a measly 4th round pick. No, I hope the Jets do well despite the level of Favre's play. For Favre himself, my only wish is he does not get hurt. He plays half the offensive snaps this year and the pick goes up to a 3rd at least, so staying healthy is the first important thing to me. Other than that, all of the criteria are based on how the team does. So beyond staying healthy, I cheer for the Jets to do well but could really care less how Favre does. It's all about what best benefits the Packers, nothing more.

Au contraire. You, my friend, are too young to remember the Packers' glory days playing 3 games a year at County Stadium. It's still where I saw my only regular season Packers game in person.

                            Here we go.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
