  • Article - From the Stands

    By Chris Young

I'd like to start by making one thing clear. I'm not a coach, scout nor an NFL executive. I'm a fan...

    Check it out...

Good info, you could tell he was fired up after the win ... read kinda like a thread post I guess but content is content.

One question tho: who's Chris Young?

Is it the 6'10" pitcher, or the hard-hitting outfielder?
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Me. And yes, it does read like a thread post. Because I have little patience and typing in true paragraph form is not my style. I'm not a writer and have never claimed to be. I'm not getting on you, quite the opposite. I'm just letting you know where I am coming from. If it sucked, it sucked. No hard feelings.

Naah, thanks Chris for the perspective. It's great reading about the view from inside the stadium. Sitting at home or in a bar somewhere, it's hard to get a feel for the pulse of the Packer fan base. So accounts like youds add a lot of flavor to our understanding of what's going on out there on the field.

When you go back for another game, you'll have to give us a travelogue of that one as well. Keep up the good work.

If we're going to be using names or fake names for articles now, can we have the poster's posting ID in the article post after the post has been made in the posting area?

Unless that person is afraid to identify themselves it helps to know what perspective these are coming from.

What the hell is the point of using pen names if we just come in here and use usernames? Actually, I'm just leaving it up to the author...

I was assuming they were using pen names instead of real names and so that our front page doesn't push articles written by sometimes questionable user names.

And I said it would be nice unless the author wants to remain anonymous. Saves us the trouble of having several posts for each article asking who wrote it. If you just put aka: gbpackfan or aka: anonymous in the post here, it would be simpler I would think.

Shit. Why you always got to be trying to stand on my balls?

no it didnt suck. i rarely read the content on the site (only because i have this particular forum on my bookmark toolbar) and went all the way through it. appreciate the perspective and let's be honest, im not even close to a good writer.

I haven't stood on your balls for weeks. If I had, they wouldn't have all that stubble on them...geez, trim up will ya?
