I'll watch it again. I don't remember a lot of dropped balls.
I don't, either. Jones dropped a crucial 3rd down pass, otherwise they were doing pretty well.
Was that drop right in the beginning?
No, the first pass was pretty low, so I don't fault him for that. I think the pass I'm referring to was in the 2nd qtr.
I've watched it again, the pass was low but very catchable, right in his hands. Jones screwed up the two balls that were thrown to him.

Were you watching the same game I was watching???

          The OL was brutal.

          • Rodgers needs to see that delayed CB/SS blitz and get the ball out as well.

no. break-out some of the Packer games against the Vikings in the dome to see a brutal offensive line. John Randall era.

The offensive line had a rough time, the defensive line was better. Rodgers never had a LOT of time to get comfortable. But it was not a blow out.

              • Rodgers did a poor job of buying time in the pocket tonight. He was too quick to flee to the outside and more often than not got caught by the fast Dallas ends. He needed to step up or get rid of the ball faster on several occasions. But those movements aren't second nature to him yet, it will come.

And for the first time in a while, since Dallas last year perhaps, we run blocked better than we pass blocked.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I really think that's attributed to the 3-4 D. I don't think our guys know what to do with a NT lined up directly over the center and the ends are between the guards and tackles.

                  • we're two and one. no biggie. a loss against the class of the nfc. the season is long and they're still trying to find out what works and doesn't work. everyone will learn from this game. a little less shotgun, a little more protection, take what the D gives you. our D did pretty well considering how much they were on the field. no serious injuries i believe.

                    • Well, defensively it was about all you can ask them to do. They were gased by the end from playing almost the entire half.

Playcalling left a lot to be desired. Why not take a shot deep? 3.5 minute drive at the end? WTF was that? Hamlin is far from a ballhawk and Williams is out. Take a shot and test them vertically.

Aaron Rodgers showed that he is tough tonight. He laid a nice block on Driver's ballyhoo, and took some shots. However, either the coverage was absolutely excellent or he isn't taking any chances or he isn't reading the field fast enough.

Bad game all around. Defensively we did well.

agree. they probably did try to go long but AR was sacked/hurried waiting for the guy to come open.
