  • Pat Lee

With Al Harris possibly missing the rest of the season, we will see what kind of depth we have at CB.

Pat Lee has been inactive the first 3 games I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong). This is somewhat disappointing to me considering he is a 2nd round pick.

Anyone know what the deal with him is? Does he suck ass? Is he ahmad carrol the remix.

I dont even remember reading anything about him in preseason
I am better looking than you.

The Packers were enamored with his bump and run potential, but the guy only started his senior year at Auburn, so I'm sure they knew it would take some time to develop him. I also think that Williams really stepped up. Hopefully, his progress speeds up though--because we are going to need him at some point.

Pat Lee is a project and a developmental guy. He has all the physical tools you could want, but he doesn't have much in the way of experience. Most of the guys the Packers drafted this year were that sort of player. Guys who will be much, much better in their third year in the league than their first.

Pat will probably be active now, for sure.

He is a great prospect, but he goes beyond "greener than goose shit" out into a nightmare. He has no clue about one basic skill every corner must have first and foremost in his mind. He doesn't know or understand where his help is coming from.

I imagine there is no definitive word on Al's condition this AM, but I'm too scared to look.

Go ahead and look. Don't be afraid.

I think Twill will do a good job. I have zero confidnece in Blackmon, Lee and Bush.

I am quite interested in seeing how Blackmon develops with consistent playing time as the third corner. They have always said that his basic skills were very high, but he needed practice and experience. His injuries have prevented him from getting that in training camps and in games. If he stays healthy, I am hopeful that we will see steadily improving play from him. The strip and fumble recovery on his tackle of Barber was an alert, strong play.

                  After Al it's :

                  Williams
                  Blackmon
                  Bush
Lee - a longshot even with golden chance or so it seems according to Kurt.

The agent is saying the CT scan confirmed a tear. Harris tasted blood and had it in his urine. The next step is to see a specialist. It would seem that removal of the organ is still on the table, but since they are not rushing to do it, all may not be lost for Al's spleen. I wish him well and good health.

For the team, something short of just yanking that puppy out of there probably means a longer rehab. So the odds would seem to be that we will get a long look at our secondary depth. I am rooting for Blackmon to be the nickel over Bush. But the injury Turk better be done with the Packers, after two years and free weight love, we are well back to the mean for injuries.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Dealing with automobile accidents I have seen the spleen removed much more often than leaving it in to heal.

The fact that they did not deem it serious enough to remove it immediately should be taken as a very good sign.

If he can just be allowed to relax and let it heal that would be great.

With this injury I doubt he will be able to engage in high impact NFL level football before Thanksgiving.

That is a long time to carry a guy as one of the 53. However, I think they may try. If things are not going well they can always put him on IR in order to add Harrell to the roster.

Everyone is in the wait-and-see mode.

I think they try and carry him. We are a playoff team w/o him, and we want him for the playoffs.

So given that, I don't care if he doesn't play until December. The only reason to IR him would be if there was some other top flight corner that magically became available.

Pat Lee is better than Jarret Bush.

                          Needs to be activated.

Its time to take Pat Lee's training wheels off and throw him in the fire. I'm not saying he should start right away, but hopefully by midseason he can contribute.

I do NOT understand what all the learning is that supposedly is needed for man coverage.

You get out there on an island; You use your athleticism to stay with the receiver. Whether you are in PeeWee football, high school, college, or the NFL, there isn't that much difference--ESPECIALLY for a team like the Packers that emphasizes man coverage. If you're going to a zone for a play, yank Lee and put in Bush.

Assuming it turns out to be true about Harris being done, I still don't expect to see too much of Lee as long as Woodson, Williams, and Blackmon stay healthy.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?
