    One of the 10 FA deals that needs a bailout :)

    10. Cleveland defensive end Corey Williams: Acquired for a second-round pick in a trade with Green Bay, Williams has yet to make an impact on one of the NFL's most lackluster front sevens. Williams, who injured a shoulder during the preseason, should improve as he becomes healthier and more comfortable playing in a 3-4 scheme. Williams, though, has a ways to go before proving worthy of the six-year, $39 million contract ($16.3M guaranteed) he received this off-season.

    Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

    He wasn't bad in our defense. Have you heard Cullen Jenkins is out for the year? All of a sudden keeping Williams doesn't sound that bad.

      Williams was okay in our defense last year when he didn't have to be the starter. Last year when Jolly went down and Williams started he didn't set the world on fire. But losing Jenkins is bad. That guy can't stay healthy. Unfortunately Harrell can't come back until after the bye week.

        He was effective, but not to the tune of the contract he was seeking, even though the team had the dough to pay him. Conrad Bolston is on line 1 Mr. Thompson.

          Corey was a decent tackle in a 4-3. Why the Browns decided to trade for him and move him to an end in a 3-4 is beyond me. He is basically a fish out of water in a 3-4 scheme. in a 4-3, he a complimentary player. The Browns are nuts and are now and old team with two guys getting paid to be a #1 QB

            Before the homerpraise let's see how the guy turns out that TT drafted with that pick.
            TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

              That's fair...but it should also be considered that the pick doesn't cost as much as C. Will. We have a lot of guys in need of a new contract over the next few years.

                good work? The guy is going from a 4-3 scheme to a 3-4. Say what you will, but not all defensive linemen excell in all types of defenses.

                He is more made for a 4-3. He isn't beefy enough to play the nose man in a 3-4, and isn't fast enough to play end in a 3-4.
