Scumbag. He's out of his mind. Who are you gonna believe? The guy who's burned through 4 coaches in 5 years or the young guy who did his best to win?

I wonder who Davis will leave the raiders to when he croaks.

One of these days, someone in the Black Hole might just take matters into his own hands to find out. Might be this fella ion the left:
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

Lane should have said "thanks--but no thanks" to the job.

Who the hey would want to coach for Al Davis now?

I like the part of his press conference where he says Kiffin lied about speaking with him and he says he talked to him holds up the letter and says it was fed exed to kiffin. Fucker is insane. Looking at him today however Raider nation should not have too much longer to wait for the grim reaper to pay Al a visit.

So true - I wonder who he will get???

No up and coming coach in his right mind would take this job - it's a death sentence, almost guaranteed to do badly, and then it will hang around your neck like an albatross.

So, it will have to be some co-ordinator who otherwise wouldn't get a chance (Jim Bates, Sherm Lewis, anyone?) or some guy who's coached before, is out, and not much chance of getting back in, except to take a job like this one (someone like Mariuchi, if he wants back in).

I guess he'll be able to find a coach...but wow, what an undesirable job. How will the new coach stand up there with a straight face and say 'I'm looking forward to great things'

This action to not pay Kiffen, if true, is another indication that Al Davis has lost his mental faculties.
Can you say grievance? Geez, why do that? He's going to get his wrist slapped by Goodell, get even more bad pub (how can you get any more you ask?), and then have to cave and pay LK a buyout.

I'm sure a grievance will be filed. I believe there is a coaches union that will go after Al. Hopefully they will prevent coaches from wanting to be the next coach.

I think I heard the acting coach was an assistant on Kiffin's staff--I want to say the O-line coach.

Perhaps the next time Al stays at a bed and breakfast he can find his next coach.
