Kind of a letdown after 13-3. I'd guess they the 13th pick in the draft.
If we lose at Seattle, I might not watch another game this year. Thats an awful team.

Ahhh...draft talk. I am a contributer to a draft site, so this is what I love.

Let me add my two cents to that list.

CB- To me, it wouldn't seem like TT would go CB this year, seeing as how we have so much invested in young CB talent right now.

DE-This position will be extensively researched by Thompson and his crew. We have absolutely no pass rush, and KGB's time may be coming to a close. Michael Johnson and George Selvie seem like the type of players that TT will stray from, because of their weight. Johnson is 260 lbs, so he could put on some weight, but Selvie is only 245 lbs. These two have "Pass Rush Specialist Only" written all over them. With the problems we have in the running game, TT isn't going to want a one-dimensional player. Tyson Jackson is more of what I think TT will target. Jackson is a 6'5" 290 lb DE, which means that he could provide a pass rush and still be able to hold his own against the run. However, with his size, he would be a perfect fit for a 3-4 DE, so other teams will have their eyes on him as well.

OT- Everyone in the draft community so far seems amazed by the Big 3 (Michael Oher, Andre Smith, and Eugene Monroe), but they will not be playing for the Packers. None of these three are ZBS OTs. What does this mean? Simple; TT will not be going OT in the first. It is too easy to find talent in the later rounds at this position. The risk/reward is just simply not there. The only exception that could even remotely happen would be Jason Smith/Baylor. He is a perfect fit for the ZBS. But it looks to me that the Packers will be going with Colledge as their LT of the future, and with him and Tauscher this is not a position of dire need at the moment.

OG-Same rules that apply to OTs apply to the OGs, except multiplied by two. When teams go OG in the first round, you can almost always label it as a reach. Too much talent in the later rounds to get caught up in the hype of a first round OG. Usually, when OGs are taken in the first round, it is to play (non-ZBS) OT in the NFL.

C- Forget it. We have our center for the future. His name is Jason Spitz.

**Someone you may want to watch is Jermaine Gresham, TE/OU. He is a dynamic play-maker, and if he is available when we pick he may just be BPA. Gresham would open up the seams for A-Rod and give the Packers another offensive threat.

do the packers need a playmaking TE? or one that can block once in awhile?

we almost need the blocking help more these days

        unfortunately

and i for one would love the pack to ditch the zbs this next offseason, and bring in some good old fashion beef

          Very good point.

And Gresham can give us that. He is BIG for a TE (6' 6" 260 lbs) and blocks VERY well. He can do it all. He's the black Jason Whitten.

Imagine having a guy like that on your team.

I think we need to go away from the midget lineman. If you can bring in a big, strong, bookend left tackle that can drive block and pass protect I think it could do this team a lot of good. It's early, but it's shaping up like another good year for OT's and also a good year for corners. With a lot of teams taking OT's early last draft maybe a great one slips to us in the middle of round 1.

It could happen, but we are not going away from the ZBS, as much as eveyrone hates it, and not none of the elite OTs fit the ZBS, except Jason Smith. Don't count on TT going OT early this year.

I don't see a reason to draft OL more than any other position. There is no really weak link that's killing us, they just haven't played well as a unit. Unless of course people think all 5 need to be replaced!

DL is definitely more of an area of need. We could use at least one DE and probably a DT too since they can't stay healthy.

You have to remember that Justin Harrell will be back (well maybe) and we will get Jenkins back next year too. If we can get a stud DE, we can move Jenkins back inside on some downs, and get a really good D-line rotation going. I think a "non Pass Rush Specialist" DE is a need for us right now.

I remember in the 2006 Draft there was talk of Mario Williams falling to us. Imagine what could have been with him and Kampman...
