Just as during his final season in GB he was rumored to be in line for the job in Seattle; now as a lameduck head coach in Seattle he is rumored to be in line for his former "dream job" in San Francisco. And again, he adds fuel to the fire by skirting the issue:

He qualified everything with "right now", referring to hypotheticals he would rather not discuss, etc. He also said:
"Things in this crazy business change on a day-to-day basis."
He could have said "I'm not interested in the SF job and will not discuss it with them." He didn't do that.Comment
