No harm no foul, just two guys talking, Brett is still our Brett.

Lombardi told Starr to "Run it, and let's get the hell out of here!" - 'Ice Bowl' December 31, 1967

I think it passes quickly into the mists of time. For instance, when I opened the thread, I had to think what Liongate was.

Brett's a little goofy and likes to ramble sometimes. It happened when he was talking to Matt Millen, who no longer works for the Lions. That's enough for me, I'll tell ya.

I agree with KY. Brett was showed poor judgment one this one. Like most people, he got into trouble more for what he said, rather than just keeping quiet.

I still believe the quality of the entire episode belonged in the type of magazines sold by the grocery store checkout counters.

If this is all there is to the 'Brett talking to other teams' 'scandal, then it is nothing.

I love Lions, in fact the second to last time I took the kids to the zoo, we went to see the big cats. The male lion felt a little frisky and tried to mount the female lion, it was awesome, my daughter yelled, "Their Wrestling!!!"

It did some damage to Favre's reputation. But not a big deal.

                Which option should I check?

The poll is designed with only one option unfavorable to Favre, and so severe that nobody will check it. (well, I just checked it to protest this ridiculously cooked poll ) But actually, I mostly think Favre got screwed in the coverage.

yes, and you designed a poll to reenforce your view. I agree with your view about 90%, but Favre exercised some bad judgment and was left with a small black mark.

Difficult to say exactly what was said and exactly the information Millen used against the Pack if at all. Thats all I'm saying. I was as sick as anyone when this first came out. I just figure weve had several days to mull it over and I dont expect any new information on the subject.

you have to be a Favre hater to question Favre's judgement here?

                        How broad minded of you.

I like their films. Lionsgate, that is, not lion "wrestling" videos.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I'm sure it will all blow over in time.

I'm also sure that after the "it's all rumor" and "it's BS" statements, I'll never believe another thing he says without confirmation from at least half a dozen independent, uninvolved, and uninterested sources.

I feel like I got screwed too. It was supposed to be this huge deal with multiple teams and Favre actively pursuing teams and giving them info. It turned out (if it's over) to be a hunting call with some football tossed in between a doomed GM and a doomed old QB - that clearly did not help the Lions. I want my records back!!!!!!
