I'm thinking he'll put up those numbers his first game.

Agreed with the above in that the first priority is for Harrell to not get hurt. He's got to be able to play the rest of the season.

Secondly, he's got to get his game legs back (wait, did he ever have them?). So for the first couple of games I think he's just taking some snaps to give Pickett, Jolly, and Cole a rest.

But after that, if he can get that far, then it's time to see if he can actually be a force in the league. I sure hope so. If he can hold his ground and absorb double teams in the run game to open things up for the linebackers, and get some push in the middle in the passing game, then we will have a guy who can help this team.

        I'm rooting for the guy.

Harrell will mostly be a body for a while. I like the way Cole and Pickett hace been playing. It would be great to see Jeremy Thompson come on strong in the second half of the season.

Of the Packers DTs, Pickett, Cole, Jenkins, and Jolly, only Jolly had some success early. The others took a few seasons to develop. Don't laugh - Harrell may surprise some of you.

I know Harrell's injuries have been frustrating for fans who seem to demand only immediate gratification, but give the kid a break. I doubt he will ever have 6 sacks in a season - that is not his game. His game is a pocket collapser, that is why the Packers drafted him. If he becomes what he can become, he will be a very valuable player for the Packers.

Has he been activated yet? I'm hoping he can help with the running game and will help keep the D line fresher later in games as we rotate fellas in and out.

Gilbert Brown was cut, picked up by the Packers, didn't play much and then hurt his next two seasons. Don't write the kid off just yet.

Pickett was solid from his second year on. In fact, he set his career high for tackles in his second season.

JH flashed power and explosion last season. IMO by the end of the season CW proves to be a good no resign.

JH eventually replaces Pickett. JT eventually replaces KGB. TT rocks!

I hope he helps our D keep TEN's runningbacks in check.

I would be happy if he came in and the run defense gives up 10 less yards a game...

I dont ever wanna see Harrell's name next to the Grave Digger's... Gilbert was a man!, he played hurt and was a game changer.. he fought for everything he got. Harrell is a fuckin pansy ass pussy who has millions upon millions for being athletic and most likely wont do shit with that ability

but heres to hoping im wrong cuz our season could swing on this kid being good or not

Gilbert struggled with the league for a couple of years before finding his niche. Remember he was a member of the Vikings before he joined the Pack.
