    what's a "packer person?"

    are YOU a "packer person?"
Great question, MOBB. Thanks. No, I don't play for the Packers, so, I can't be a Packer Person.

I think Packer people who play for the G&G are high character football players that aren't necessarily stars coming out of college, but have that "something" that sets them apart.

I don't expect too many Pacmans, Vicks etc. in GB under TT's regime. I know those boys have talent and, as far as you're concerned the right tan, but, they's poison.

I think this Finley kid is poison - if he was quoted correctly.

And MOBB, thank you for making an effort to use at least SOME grammar this time around. It was really refreshing and I hope you remember where the caps button is locted.

KY, care to revise your Kris Jenkins analysis yet?? BEAST!!!
Well, at the time I made some "wait and see" comments about Jenkins, he had played 4 games. He was inactive for 1 game, played very average in 2 and played like a savage in another. He had a handful of tackles and a sack. I said at the time that I thought he was an "in and outer" so far and not a big factor.

Well he's played very well since and yesterday his coach called him a beast. Guy had 5 tackles, 2 sacks and 3 hits on the QB against the Bills. He very well may have been the reason that the Jets won yesterday. So yeah, he's a bitch and has had a smashing first half. If he keeps this up, he'll be in the Pro Bowl and all that stuff.

If he stays on the field, the guy is a difference maker.

I'd be even more contrite and eat a bunch of crow, if it wasn't for your savvy prediction of the Indy game. I thought Indy was our only sure loss this season? it seems you posted that Tony Dungy was such a "wily mentor" he would surely out-coach our own coach mac and lead Indy to victory.

When that didn't happen, I didn't see you come on here and eat crow, so I'll just nibble at it, too.

Maybe neither one of us is much of a predictor.

Finley's comment "I'm ready to play now" is how all those guys think.

His complaints about Rodger's pass behind him was loose lips.

Bedard wrote a story to make Finley look bad, restating his quotes to the coaches and asking for comments.

There is nothing wrong with Finley thinking the things he said. His offense was in saying them to a reporter. I suspect he will learn his lesson after this incident.

I think there is plenty wrong with even thinking some of the things he said.

Thinking that he he shouldn't be expected to make plays when he gets his hands on the ball is wrong.
Thinking that passes will be and should be perfectly thrown to lead him is wrong.
Thinking that the coaches have to adjust to him, but he has no obligation to adjust and improve what he can do is very, very wrong.

It appears that he does not understand that for him football is a job, it is work and there are obligations and expectations that come with it He should think that blame is accepted and shared, not deflected toward others.

Ouch. Milwaukee or Mosinee? Makes a difference I would think.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Wow...He's done MUCH more negative than positive this season (holding on the FG attempt that probably lost us the Falcons game, etc), and apparently he's a jackass as well. Cut his ass, he's terrible.

Memo to Finley: If you get your hands on the ball, the quarterback did his job..Make the damn play and stop bitching. Throwing it to the back shoulder so that only the receiver can get it is very common. It wasn't a perfect throw, but it was very catchable, and NFL players make that catch. They don't throw their quarterback under the bus. If only that were Donald Lee or Tory Humphrey. I think either of those two would have made that play, and if they didn't, they certainly would accept blame for it...

Part of Finley's attitude may be his young age and lack of maturity. Didn't he declare early for the NFL draft?

Philbin's comment makes me think Finley's going to be getting an earful today. Hopefully he takes a slice of humble pie and learns a lesson. He's got plenty of high character guys surrounding him, I hope some of it rubs off.

Yeah, he was a redshirt sophomore. He's not even a month older than I am, in fact. I don't care, though, he's terrible and has a terrible attitude. It's okay for a young player to make mistakes (although he's made too many and pretty much hasn't done anything good all year), but it's NOT okay to blame everyone else for it...

sounds like James Jones might be a little pissed that he was a healthy scratch and not told why... and its sounds like Finely said the coaches don't really tell him what his role is.... maybe this staff needs to start communicating with its players a little better....

but back to Finely.. some of what he said was fine, shows confidence and eagerness to play but u dont sell out ur QB... just a no-no in this league and he will learn that, hes young

Finely is a freak athlete... he's gotta be coached up a ton

I believe we should use the Chicago phone directory.

                            1. That's the best place for it.

                            2. It's just the right size.

Jones being a bit miffed or confused is understandable, since he is not the #5 receiver (at least he doesn't think he is) and seemed to be healthy. He surely assumed that he would play.

Finley not knowing what his role would be is a ridiculous statement on his part. Has he not been at practice? He is the third TE and will perform the TE's duties for whatever plays the coaches put him in for. He is an occasional ST performer, and he has been in other games and practices this year. He will do those things when Stock tells him to get on the field. What more does he need to be told?

Did he think that maybe he was active to be the starter???

I don't suppose he was thinking any of these things.

Finley was open in the endzone and Rodgers threw an uncatchable ball. Finley should shutup about it, true, I don't condone what he said. You're reading a lot into it.

I think if you talked to Finley yourself he would represent himself differently than how he came-off with those quotes. The story was designed to get the reader pissed-off at Finley.
