  • Considering all, will Jennings be a Packer?

Considering the state of the Packers, will Jennings remain a Packer? Didn't he say he wanted to take a wait and see approach? Is there much for him to hope for from this season?

Would be horrible to lose Jennings.

I sure as hell hope so.

Generally speaking, the Packers take care of their own..I'd be surprised if they didn't lock him up.

Nothing surprises me anymore in this league.

I want Jennings here and think it will get done. But goofier things have happened.

I think when he took a wait-and-see viewpoint, he was thinking more along the lines of how much he might be worth on the open market. I think he and A-Rod have chemistry and that he is a feature of the offense.

It's not 100% up to them, if he want to hit the market he can.

That having been said, it they offer up enough coin t make him the top paid receiver in the game I would guess he'd stay where he is familiar with things.

Pack will definately have enough coin.

i really fear this, and i have ever since we drafted jordy

and i really got nervous after he turned down the extension

theres WR talent on this team behind driver and jennings. greg will become one of the top paid wr's in the game. i really don't see TT opening the bank for him

i think the nelson pick was a look at TT thinking he was going to lose wr talent in the coming years. you just don't need that much WR talent

and honestly, do we need to keep him? i think nelson has looked good this year, and jones might have just had his break out game, add in driver and ruvell and tt might just say it isn't worth spending that much money when you have talent already at that position

            and i think it sucks

True. But he's an athlete. No doubt looking for a winning team will be part of his decision.

I think Jordy was drafted because Driver will eventually retire. So yes, eventually we will lose talent. I love Driver, but he's an older receiver. I think you're wrong, though. I get the feeling that they're slowly moving Jennings to #1 WR and will do what's necessary to hang onto him.

I agree here. TT brings in more talent becuase the talent he has will not last forever. Thats how TT tends to draft, for the future.

                      I'm confused

We WILL franchise Greg Jennings; no way you let one of the top young WR's in the game go.

If he thinks he's getting a free pass to go out and get the biggest deal he can w/o any leverage by GB he'll be mistaken
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Yeah. I think he's a big part of what the Packers want to do. And I agree Zig, that he and Rodgers have pretty good chemistry so far.

My thoughts exactly, anyone know when Drivers contract is up?

You are correct. You may not see him at any OTAs or preseason games but he'll be suited up week 1.
