TT's philosophy is sound. Players failed to make plays to finish games.

With that said the roster needs tweaking. The d-line, o-line and linebackers requires upgrading via free agency and the draft.

IMO a few impact players positions the Packers as a legitimate NFC contender.

To win a SB, he is going to have to hit on an awful lot of picks moving forward, and for his "sophmores and juniors" to step up.

Is he going to make a move on Sanders? and, if so, do they change schemes? if yes, to what? and what would a change entail in terms of player procurement?

How much of a set back would a scheme change be in terms of being able to assemble a championship calibur defense??? 3 years??? By then, we're in year 7 of TT's reign.

Front seven on defense is very benign... and that's before you bring into the equation the obvious need to replace Woodson, Harris, Tauscher, and Clifton over the next few years.

Some obvious rebuilding needs to be done on defense... going to take time.

I'm predicting playoffs for the Packers in 2009.

        Seriously.

I don't think Thompson really said much controversial, boiling it down he seemed to say three things.

                1) We want our young guys on the roster to get better, that's going to be an important part of improving (well... duh.)

                2) We're going to draft some guys, we want those guys to be good players who make an impact right away (who doesn't?)

                3) We may or may not sign some free agents (again, obvious).

Of course he wants the guys he drafted to get better, of course he's going to participate in the draft and hope the guys he picks this year are good, and of course there are no guarantees in free agency. Thompson could pursue every free agent on the market and still end up not signing anybody. It's not as though potential FAs couldn't elect to go elsewhere.

The thing about growing from within is true, but, you need to have good teachers as coaches. I hope MM holds some people accountable given the regression seen this year.

There seemed to me to be too many mental errors and technique errors. How many times did we hear about pad level? Or there was miscommunication in the defensive backfield. We kept hearing how those things would get fixed, but we never saw that.

Those are all coaching issues and need to be corrected.

I agree with that..In fact I'll predict a division championship. The Bears and the Lions aren't going to compete and the Vikings didn't impress me this year with their 9-7 record.

                        Did they revoke one?

Nothing wrong with Ted's way of thinking. I tend to believe in this belief in most cases, but I'm not one to swear off his approach entirely. Responsible spending like Pickett is what I'm all about.

They should've revoked the Giants gift.
"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious." - Vince Lombardi
