3.7 yards per carry would get 11.1 yards every 3 downs. That sounds like grinding it out to me .

I call baloney on the grind it out running game in bad weather. What was Holmgren's best rushing team? Were they grind it out?

The best run play they had in the Super Bowl year was a single back (Levens), 3 wide formation that they ran from against nickel defenses in the second half. That is not a grind it out running game. I am tired of this narrative.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I hope they are wrong about Nolan. I think too that Demovsky is too glib about what it would take in terms of the type of player that could play in a 3-4defense. You'd essentially have to turn over much of your defensive roster.

Just say no to Nolan and the 3-4.

Fritz, Nolan has run a 4-3 too, M3 could hire him with the understanding that they're sticking with the 4-3. (I hope).

That would be okay. I suppose I'm just hunkering down against Nolan, probably for no real reason.

Maybe a veteran coordinator who MM knows is just what's needed.

I just like the idea of a younger guy, someone who's fresh to it, knows it well. Maybe Jerry Gray. McDermott.

Remember how exciting it was when Holmgren came to GB?

Yes, with his "dream team" staff, if they could've stayed together they would've dominated the league for years. I like Nolan or Greg Williams, either will be pricey but it's worth it.
                Thanks Ted!
