  • Chargers looking into possibility of saying bye to LT.

Teddy should send Ryan Grant and our entire draft for LT.

LT turns the dreaded 30 in June. Will he be the exception to the rule? He has 2600+ carries and 500+ receptions in his career. Thats a lot of hits. Someone will take a chance on him though.

      Texans, Raiders, Jets...

      I highly doubt GB.

Definitely not the Raiders. As much as we all love Al Davis, they have 3 quality runningbacks and no offensive line as is. Maybe throw the Bungles out there? Fact is, there isn't much tread left on those tires, and I can only think of a handful of modern day backs that have played well in to their 30's.

I could see the Patriots taking a chance on LT without knowing how Maroney will be next year.

I don't see the Packers going for LT, but I would be estatic even if a report surfaced that we were interested. LT has always been my favorite player in the NFL, just a class act.

He's definitely a class act, but he's turning 30. He'd do well on a team like the Pats, who could use him appropriately (i.e. sparingly) for a year or two. I like the guy but I wouldn't want to see the Pack get him. There's no need, not with Grant and the rest.

I'm sorry, did you say we don't need LT because of Ryan Grant?

I wonder if a SB is more important to LT right now than a big contract?

Look, if this was even LT last year, okay, I get it. But don't you see him falling into the pattern that so, so many running backs have followed?

Man, don't you remember Ahman Green? TT was excorciated for letting him walk - but it was exactly the right move.

Did anybody watch LT play this year? He looked all but over the hill, and even after recovering from his injury he wasn't the same explosive runner. If SD is trying to get rid of him, I suspect there's a very good reason for it. Grant may not be the second coming after all, but a big no thanks to the Packers trading for other teams's problems.

LT was hurt this year and had his lowest YPC (3.8) since his rookie year. With his age, all the signs of a diminishing career are there. He probably needs to get into a situation where he is splitting the carries with another back, and that doesn't seem to be MM's philosophy.
