  • 2009 Hall of Fame Inductees

    Bruce Smith
    Rod Woodson
    Derrick Thomas
    Bob Hayes
    Randall McDaniel
    Ralph Wilson Jr.

I am personally happy to see Derrick Thomas finally get in. A great player whose life was tragically cut short. Also for Bruce Smith, one of the two great DL of the 90's along with Reggie White.

I can't argue with any of those guys. Good class. Hayes's receiving stats look pedestrian by today's standards, but he redefined the position in his day. The rest are all no-brainers in my opinion.

I don't recall the entire list of nominees, but I'd say Chris Carter and Shannon Sharpe will both get in eventually. I'm pretty sure this was Sharpe's first opportunity. They should sweat it out a few years like so many before them...

A name that should be on that list is Jerry Kramer.

It baffles me that Kramer gets ignored by the veterans committee.

        5 time All-Pro, 3 time Pro Bowler....it's a travesty.
