  • Did Mike Sherman actually hit on a draft pick?

anyone remember Chris Johnson CB from the 7th round that we picked? really fast guy but real raw? well he started for the raiders most of last year and now their looking to lock him up to a longer term deal. That's crazy.... Just goes to show you that players do develop after a few years of seasoning, coaching, and maturity.

You sure it's the same guy?

Next thing you know, BJ Sander and Donnell Washington will be signing long-term deals!

I remember there was a cb ranking list that was posted here a couple weeks ago, they had him rated in the top ten of the league. It only took him eight years or so to develop.

        Kampman
        Williams
        Chris Johnson?

Yes it is. Recall the dude returned either a punt or kickoff for td while with the Rams. CJ has tremendous speed but misuses it.

Shermy only gets partial credit for Green. Wolf was GM in 2000 - Sherman as the new coach and former Sea OC had seen Green, probably put in his two cents, but that's Wolf's deal.

Gravy Jackson was a good pickup by Shermy too. Solidified the D-line after the disasters with Reynolds, Joe Johnson, and 'Ole Cleedeeus.

Mark Hatley made those picks...sherman stood by and nodded sagely.

STILL a lot of Sherman-hate around here.

I wonder, statistically, how the Sheman-haters correlate with the Thompson-haters. Both are about equally irrational IMO.

                        you guys forgot Javon Walker...

He was a stud for that 1 year in GB and was awesome that 1 year in Denver... If it wasn't for injuries he would be a top 10 receiver...

So then does Hatley also get the credit for Ahmad Carroll, Donnell Washington and B.J. Sander?
